Thank you that sounds promising. I had an email to say my order had gone to the warehouse but haven't heard anything since. Hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get home.
If 1GB isn't enough on the Desire people with Vodafone or Orange contracts are going to be stuffed with a 500MB limit. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
I have just telephoned where I purchased my handset from and they were most concerned that people may be being put onto the incorrect system for the T-Mobile Android O/S. They have looked at the forums mentioned on here.
The operator has told me that she will look into it and tell me what the situation is by the end of today. Her opinion was that T-Mobile should put people on the right system for the Android handset regardless of whether people go to them direct or via a reseller0 -
I ordered yesterday from Mobiles, I called to check they had t-mobile in stock then ordered via the website to get the quidco cashback. The phone arrived this morningbubblesmoney :hello:0

I have had an email response from the place where I purchased my Desire from and have been told the following......
"I tried to ring you but there was no answer or voicemail so I thought I
would email you to let you know my findings.
You've obviously done your homework and I won't spout any well you know.
I spoke to T-Mobile and basically they connect 3rd party customers on
the 1gb connection with android handsets.
Now the man I spoke to said that he has an android handset and it runs
fine on a 1gb connection.
But they do not connect you to the 3gb connection, you would have to get
a 'sock' added on for £5 extra.
So I know it sounds bad that I am in essence putting you off buying from
us, but you are one of the few customers who have bothered to do their
home work and we wish that we had more customers like you! So I don't
want to give you any sales jargon and I want to be honest with you.
I hope this has answered your question and if you need anything else let
me know.
Sincerely,

I think it is utterly disgusting on T-Mobile's part and completely disadvantages resellers of the service. Not only that it appears that the re-sellers don't know this fact it appears T-Mobile have not told them. Nowhere does it say in the advert for my "deal" that actually you will be put on the wrong service for your handset by the airtime operator.0

see all the 3rd party deals with Tmobile one gets on omio ( omio dot com ) or via cnet uk http://mobiledeals.cnet.co.uk/phones/htc/desire/ . all those deals clearly say 1gb allowance for desire deals with Tmobile desire package even though desire is an android phonebubblesmoney :hello:0

That may be the case but no matter where you buy the handset from you should be put on the correct system for it.
You don't buy a car with square wheels.
I will ring T-Mobile and ask their complaints section their opinion on it. And I will be cancelling my order and I wil lgo to a totally different operator on principle.
Goodbye T-Mobile/One2One after 14 years of patronage.0 -

OK Received Desire yesterday, fantastic phone.
Regarding the Internet allowance, as mine was from mobiles.co.uk i thought i better ring and check with Tmobile that i was given 3gb month allowance.
I was told i was only on the 1gb month by Tmobile and they were quite adamant it was carphone warehouse fault and to take it up with them or pay an extra £5 a month for the 3gb booster.
I argued quite strongly that my contract was with them on an Android phone and should be on 3gb month.
Still no joy.
Asked to speak to manager and they said i would get a call back later today but that even the manager would say exactly the same.
Hey presto within 1 minute i got a call back sayiny they are extremely sorry and they would put me on the 3 gb month plan at no extra charge.
I took the 600 mins /500 text with u/ltd web from mobiles.co uk and she said because the web was included with this i was entitled to another free booster, so i added u/ltd calls to landlines.
I think it is important for everybody to check what web you are given for reading other forums all 3rd party outlets are only giving 1gb per month, but remember that on the 1gb month web the download speed is throttled.
But be aware that you will have to argue and persist with them to get 3gb.
how much did the handset cost?
what is the monthly fee and is it inclusive of VAT?
when did you order? i note that you got delivery yesterday.
did your reseller say you would get 3gb? i am enquiring as the 600xnet plus 3gb internet and unlimited landlines looks like a good deal and i might be interested in that option and ask 3 to stuff their upgrade offer to me as am getting !!!!ed off with their (3 network) upgrade delivery delays and attitude.bubblesmoney :hello:0
