from Orange' twitter page:
HTC Desire fans: high demand is equalling delays in getting stock across all our channels. Working to fix this as a priority. BIG apologies

I suspect it won't be just Orange having problems meeting demand now.
Damn tv adverts :P0 -
Does anybody know if the t-mobile £10 a month deal will ever return as I use my phone very little, thus not warrant a £15 a month deal as I would not use up the minutes but the unlimited internet (well 1GB per month) would be handy.
I assume the launch of the iphone 4G or when retailers are low on stock due to demand, the deal may return?
The current £15 a month deal is virtually the same as the £10 one - the only difference is that they've slightly reduced the initial cost of the phone from £164 to £157. Everything else is the same; 100 minutes, 100 texts, 1 flexible booster and unlimited (3GB) internet. So the deal hasn't so much disappeared as gone up in price unfortunately. I suspect it was too good to last (which was why I bit their hand off two weeks ago and bought out the remaining two months of my Orange contract).
Many companies were selling the phone alone for what T-Mobile were charging for the phone plus 2 years service. Even the £15 deal seems good value to me.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I've just got ordered a Desire on T Mobile with 100 mins, 100 txts and unimited interenet for £20 a month over 18 months via mobiles.co.uk. The handset cost is only £60 so it works out at £420 in total. I should get £50 cashback via quidco as well so in total it's only £370 over 18 months which seemed pretty decent to me.
I really didn't want a 24 month contract or else I would have gone for the £15 a month option. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

That's a good deal Bill. But without the cashback, the 24 month/£10pm deal came in at £404, so I really didn't mind T-Mobile paying me £16 to use their bandwidth for an extra 6 months.
But of course, now that it's £15pm, the deal is not quite so attractive. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Have just recieved my HTC Desire and initial impressions are that it is really as awsome as it seems when you read about it.
Charging now for play later - gotta go work now ...
BTW can anyone enlighten me as to how and when I know where to claim my cashback with mobiles.co.uk - I didn't see anything on the paperwork.0 -

The original £10 for 24 months was a cracking deal. I was seriously tempted but wanted to run my currnet contract out and now thta one's gone. The other issue is I really didn't want a 24 month contract.
I was tempted to buy a PAYG one for £350 and then get the 30 day £10 a month SIM only deal from T Mobile. If the handset price drops when the iPhone 4G is released that could be a good option for some people. It's my problem, it's my problem

since i didnt get the call back from three, i called them now and was told the desire is out of stock and whether i want the hero instead. i refused and said order was confirmed for 22 delivery for one number and the other was to be for the same date and they would confirm the delivery date as 22nd with follow up call, then get told that my package was xnet 700. so after discussions he agreed on one number it was xnet 1100 plus internet and another it showed as xnet700 with internet. when i disputed that and said both orders were for xnet1100 plus internet for 20£ a month 18m contract with htc desire phones for £149.99 each, he said the person who offered me the deal would call back tomorrow to confirm delivery date, if not i could call back the day after.
they are not sure if they will get stocks in april as they have had email to inform them not to confirm to customers about delivery date as stock arrival is not confirmed yet!
god knows what they note down on their computers after agreeing for the sale of the phone. arent these conversations recorded or does one depend on the wrong entry made by the sales person with no recourse to contest what was agreed to.
guess will wait till tomorrow for the call back regarding expected delivery date or back on the merry go around again or look for deals with other networks as am not interested in the hero and they keep telling on the phone that the hero apparently is the same as the desire!! definitely not falling for that bit of misselling.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
