I ordered yesterday, and went into phones4u and Carphone today to see if they could do that deal and they could get nowhere near! Unfortunately delivery isn't till Friday.
I've read somewhere either on here or HUKD that Orange have screwed the firmware so you can't pick up a Wifi connection. If so, that's a shame because mine is on T-mobile and it picks up my wifi in the house to save on using the mobile web allowance.0 -
Well, I've just ordered one.
I was with three before and although they offered me a great deal on a Hero every time I mentioned the desire he just kept talking about the Hero and didn't seem to want to do a deal on the Desire so I've cancelled and ordered one on T Mobile via mobiles.co.uk.
Now I can't wait!It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

WiFi works fine on Orange, they've restricted access to Orange Market though so you have to use 3G to access it.
Phones4U offered me an unbranded handset to replace my orange one, but I'm going for the 3gig T-Mobile offer instead.0 -
I just got one and it's blown my mind!
Got it on Orange, had to pay £50 for my upgrade but on a 24 month contract got 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited browsing for £35 a month.
Pretty good I reckon.0 -
Are the Desire's from Phones4u on Orange locked and branded?!0

yes they are, iirc cpw one's aren't.
They usually have a shop next door to any phones4u so you could check both:rotfl:0 -

The deal on the phones4u website is a really good one and none of the shops will match it. I thought I'd be getting a generic handset to put a different networks sim in, gutted now!0 -
Does anybody know if the t-mobile £10 a month deal will ever return as I use my phone very little, thus not warrant a £15 a month deal as I would not use up the minutes but the unlimited internet (well 1GB per month) would be handy.
I assume the launch of the iphone 4G or when retailers are low on stock due to demand, the deal may return?0 -

you could give them a call to be sure but the one i saw in store was branded and locked. Don't think website stock would be any diffferent.0 -
