This is the most wonderful thread, have just subscribed.
Today, coveting similar items on ebay, I found a faux-fur gillet and a gold cardigan in a CS for £6 for both. I also got a new vase and a new lamp base from another CS. The lamp base is exactly the colour I want to paint our new front room:beer:0 -
Also went charity shopping today. The best buy was a pair of jeans for £2.99. Also two Laura Ashley blouses for £3.99 each. My last charity shop jeans were really M & S ones for £3.99 and one or two people have said how nice they are.
God bless the people who give to charity shops, I say.0 -

I found a beautiful, brand new brown leather handbag in the charity shop today for £5.25. It's from Next and similar ones on their website at the moment are between £65 and £90! Delighted. Also the complete works of Jane Austen for £2.0

This week I got a lovely 3 piece Ercol wood frame suite from freecycle, the only cost was the £30 spent on a man with van to collect it.
It came at the right time as the sofa we got from my mum had bitten the dust.

I was in Sainsbugs cafe with a friend last week and wondered what they did with all those little jam pots - I asked the guy working there if he would save me some. I thought they would be good in a set filled with hm jam for prezzies. Went in this week and he'd saved me 23, all lovely and clean too. While I was in there, I heard a lady talking about blackberrying and I commented that was what I was going to do this weekend, she gave me 1.5lbs of her own blackberries to start me off.
I've been dithering about investing in a sewing machine for some time. I was talking to an old neighbour about it and he offered me his late wifes machine for nothing, he said it was only gathering dust. I'll do some baking for him as a thank you.
It's been a really good ms week - it goes to show that sometimes it pays to ask and sometimes good things come in three's.:D0
