my parents have just got back from a caravan holiday - while they were there they (unexpectably) met some friends who were staying on the same site and spent several evenings having BBQ's together. my mum found a charity shop and bought a set of nice stella 1/2 pint glasses (look new) as she did not have enough glasses to go round .. she has now given them to me!! i did suggest as they were caravanning it would not be unreasonable to ask camping friends to bring their own glasses .. she just looked blank and said she didn't think about that!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Hello everyone :hello:
I hope nobody minds me posting. I don't know if this really counts as a frugal find but I get my milk from a corner shop near my work rather than the supermarket and I get 2 litres for £1.00 rather than £1.53 in the supermarket (all the big four charge the same) I also have a shop near our house that charges £1.29 instead of the £1.53! So I tend to go there if I run out over the weekend

Had wanted to look for bathroom cabinets 2nd hand, then walked past a house that were throwing away old bathroom and had put the more useable things on the street, where I saw a small white mirrored cabinet! I cleaned it up (you wouldn't believe how grimy shelves were), once clean put some Cath Kidston wallpaper on the two small shelves, and it will do for now!MFW #185

I cooked a chicken in the slow cooker on Sunday and saved the cooking juices. I used it as stock in a chicken and bacon risotto tonight, and oh my was it delicious. Divine!

The other lunchtime I saw that Monsoon had 70% reductions so I went in to see if I could find some jeans for my daughter. I found some for £13.50 which I was very pleased with.
I had a look at the other things on the rails and found a longish black camisole in a soft material. I've been looking for one of these to wear with a devore shirt as the camisole which came with it is a bit short and quite a hard material.
I couldn't see a price on the camisole, just a label with some hand written numbers on it. When I went to the desk ans asked the price the lady told me it was 1 pence !!! Needless to say I bought it ! :j0
