Some lovely plums from the park and some lovely blackberries from the garden. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Yesterday I received from Freecycle a whole box of food magazines like BBC Good Food and Olive. They are from 2004 to 2007 and I haven't seen any of them before (because I didn't start buying those magazines till this year) so I was delighted!
I brought some home made buttermilk scones for the bloke who gave me the magazines to say thanks, he seemed quite chuffed0 -
A bag from a table of stuff at work saying 'free to a good home' and £35 worth of whoopsied meat and cheese in Sainsbury for £15 - shin of beef, lamb fillet, dry cure bacon...People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
