Not a find as such, but an act of kindness. I'm having to rest my feet at the moment (podiatrist suggested two months roflmao!! Sure, the servants will see to everything.). I have a friend who is a professional dogwalker so I asked if she would take my dogs out for a couple of days, which is all the time I can realistically manage off my feet. She took them out at lunchtime and will take them out tomorrow, but she doesn't want payment. I will give her some eggs from my chooks as a thank you, but isn't that kind?

    It still came your way.

I'm still mining the freezer for lunches. Tomorrow's includes a roll that came with a salad when we were eating out. No-one touched it so we took it home and froze it for future use.

I picked up a great paint bargain today at Wilkinson's. I was passing to go to Iceland and there was a cage outside Wilkos with Dulux paint on it, I thought the red sticker was £2 off but no it was £2 a tin :j so I brought 3 (would have been more if I could carry them :rotfl:) one tin is for kitchens (buttermilk) 1 is natural hints jade white and 1 wild primrose and they were all nice colours too :j

  • Hi all :)

Both kids needed new shoes for the summer, doesn't usually happen that they both need them at once but this time they did.

Went to Winfields which have a Clarks outlet and they had a sale on, chose some sandals for DD for £12 (rrp £32) and a pair of Doodles for DS £6.50 (rrp £16), went to the till feeling very chuffed at getting them in the sale and they said that all kids sale shoes were BOGOF :j
So i ended up with 2 pairs of Clarks shoes for £12 :D instead of the £48 they would have cost at full price :D

Shoes are already worked into the budget and i would have paid full price for them if needed (refuse to scrimp on shoes!) but its brilliant to have got them so cheap, i was buzzing when i left the store lol

I got some half-price Maxicrop (liquid seaweed feed) from Oxfam today. I didn't even know they sold it. It's really expensive stuff usually but I got my bottle for £2.24:j I might go back and buy them out lol!

Someone at work was clearing out a drawer (I presume) and I came back to my bag to find that a box of glass-headed pins and a bag of odd buttons was sitting on top. They will come in very useful.
