This is really frugal!! i had to get the new Justin Bieber CD for my nieces birthday next week, my sister pointed out that it was cheapest on amazon, but I thought I would spend 24 hours having a little hunt around just in case!! Certain other sites matched it but couldn't beat it so I went back on to amazon today to order it and it was 20p cheaper, lol
Also a few months ago I freecycled an old dishwasher, when the people turned up to collect it we started talking about jobs and I found out they were looking for someone to look after their horses, which is what I do, 6 months later I still work for them, not quite so frugal but pretty lucky.
And lastly found an excellent place today for blackberrying, yum!!!!!

Had a quick visit from my son and his family earier on. They brought us a huge bowl of damsons, given to them by their next door neighbour to give to us. She said, in exchange, could she have a bottle of the damson wine when it is ready.
Fair exchange, no robbery.:DFelines are my favourite

I was thinking of getting a new set of cushions for my sofa, but couldn't justify buying them as I don't need them (not even at primark prices). Popped in a charity shop today and got a set of 4 at 49p each, and they're the same ones my mum has only in a different colour, and I had considered getting them when she got hers!
2 had feather inserts put in them so I will be able to give those away (as I'm allergic) and used a couple of my own cushion pads I had in an old cover that had been loved to death and sadly needs to be let go.
Also got 4 loaves of bread for a total of £1.02 - freezer is now refilled!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Picked some damsons from the park yesterday and then my neighbour gave us some blackberries so fed the kids stewed fruit and icecream and a no spend day to boot!
Today, not really frugal but quite MSE - bought a mag with a "free" £8.50 lip stain attached. And put something on eBay which I had been meaning to do for literally years!!0 -
Popped into the Work today and found a whole host of books on my amazon wish list as part of the 3 for a £5. Got 12 books for £20 which is cheaper than online and cheaper than using read it swap it (postage / packaging etc). Should keep me quite for a while! x2013 Free Money - £363.44 Topcashback

Just joining this thread
Today I was given a free bottle of wine by my sister because she doesn't like Rose, and a book about sewing.
My best frugal find this year though was a lovely welsh dresser that my friend gave me for free after it was left behind by the previous owners of her new house. :T I'd been hankering after one for ages and couldn't justify spending the money on one so I was delighted with it!0 -
I'm sooooo happy
One of the residents in the supported housing scheme I manage has offered me her sewing machine on indefinite loan as she no longer uses it and it's just taking up space in her flat! Have wanted one for ages to start on my 'sewing career' but had no luck on free-cycle and couldn't justify spending out on one if my err 'career' didn't take off!
