Just back from a wander round B&Q to look at plants, given how bare the summer bedding shelves were it makes you wonder just how much of the stuff is flown in!! However I spotted a load of reduced plants mostly very dead or almost dead amongst them a wee gentian was throwing up hopeful shoots everywhere and the cost was only 10p:D It is now in my front porch gently watered and a wee feed with a bit of luck and loads of love and care I should have a nice wee plant in the coming weeks. What makes it all the better is that I managed to leave the store only having spent 10p:rotfl:"To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill" Sun Tzu0

We went down to the tip/recycling centre and dropped off our stuff and came away with two deep bread type trays, a medium sized green plastic plant pot, a small brown plastic window box plant pot and a green container. All for the veg growing. I like doing this because it's green and frugal. No longer half of Optimisticpair

It was a good day yesterday - after getting a propagator at the car boot, took a walk down to the allotment, and a neighbour had a compost bin on their driveway along with a load of odd bits and pieces, looking like they were going to be dumped. Went and asked them, they said to take it. It's one of those black "daleks".0

Those black "daleks" are brill. You will have a nice load of home produced compost before you know it.:D Well done on spotting the stupidity of the nice neighbours chucking it out."To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill" Sun Tzu0
