600g plastic containers filled with Lentil and Bacon soup from Morrison's orginal price £1.79 reduced to 19p, so I grabbed all 7 to put in the freezer and use at a later date. I also reused the containers to refill with home made soup for the freezer when I get cheap veg.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
  • My daughter gave me a bottle of FCUK bodyspray, and a bottle of FCUK shower gel, she got these for Xmas, but doesn't like them :D She said she also has the body cream, and will give that to me as well.
    I love the smell :j

Went round the charity shops in my lunch hour and found some gorgeous, never worn Next tweed trousers and 2 academic books. Total cost: £9.50. To buy new: at least £70

Dug up a big horseshoe in the garden, looks really rough and hand made, I think I can clean it up a bit, maybe paint it with hammerite and hang it over the back door. Might bring me some luck!

    That's lucky !
Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

I don't know that this will really count but I am pleased with myself. I went to get bedding plants today and was horrified at the cost so I went to the seed section instead so I now have loads of bedding plants for a fraction of the cost (if they grow!).

My lovely friend has offered to give me free lots of stone flags for side of house. Have been looking for ages for some cheap ones and wow! how lucky is that!

Whoo hoo car boot sale day :j . We bought a brand new 6.9 litre Tower Pressure cooker in its box, with its instructions - I'm a bit scared of pressure cookers so to have the instructions is fab - for the vast amount of £4!. Seven demi johns (and two airlocks) for £6 - we're hoping to make our grapes into wine this year.

A pair of barely worn Clarks shoes for Dad for £2 - he's got a swollen foot so needed shoes in a bigger size to wear to my nieces wedding.

    A good morning's shopping! :j
