I love freecycle! I acquired a micralite buggy and carry cot with cosy toes and waterproof cover in immaculate condition for my 'on the way' grandsons. I have also received baby bath, toys, cot mobile, books etc for my grandchildren as well as home brewing equipment etc.

I do give my unwanted items away on freecycle but I never cease to be amazed at the quality of the goods and the generosity of the people that give them.

I gave away a breadbin on freecycle and sold a carseat that my son didn't need any more.

In return, I won a janome sewing machine on ebay for 99p, wooo!
Also found some reduced lego in whsmith which will keep my 4 year old quiet for the rest of the holiday. I paid using gift cards I got for my birthday so I got £30 of lego for nada.

Also, just been given four bonsai pots from freecycle. I love that my other half has a hobby but it's so expensive, these pots will come in very useful.x

I am giving away three lots of excess veg seeds to 3 forum members, and today i recieved a small handheld steamer for free. Alas, the person who gve it me had used it to clean their toilet and hadn't cleaned the 'stuff' off the nozzles...still, a bowl of bleach followed by a rinse and then i sterilised them all as well. I had to throw 2 nozzled in the binm and cleaned the rest just fine.

I found a packet of porridge oats at the back of the cereal shelf. (I have been using individual sachets as the kids can make them themselves!). Decided to try making Twinks Hobnobs. They turned out really well and DS2 enjoyed helping too. Lots more leftover to make a few more batches. Yum!
  • Just popped into fav charity shop on way home. New ladies working in there today...picked up 6 ikea wooden coat hangers for "tuppence"
