  • 1 free icecream and a bug/windmill thing that goes in a pot as decoration from work as they had been written off. 1 icecream munched and one dollop of glue on the windmill good as new :)

That's a frugal find and a half! What a kind man too. 'What goes around, comes around' and along with the feeling of having given something that makes a great difference to someone's life, I'm sure some lovely blessing is coming his way too:A

:j That was nice. I am growing a few cabbage and broccoli plants but only a few are doing ok. I tried to use seeds from last year - or even the year before, so that might have something to do with it:p However, I feel, that even if I get a handful of successful veggies from these, it'll be worth it and will save waste

Three gloss mags from a recycle box I was walking past. Lovely! Wouldn't have bought any of them myself, so feels like a real treat!

What great luck for you. I am sure you are a very kind and generous person. I've had a lucky day too.

I've just been to collect a small trampoline offered on freecycle. It's in excellent condition and I will bounce away happily to keep fit whilst watching tv. My grandsons will love it too.

As I arrived home I had my second stroke of good luck. The man next door gave me 6 bottles of Black Stump red wine, one of my favourites. I gave him some homemade wine a few weeks ago and I had put the elderberry wine in a Black Stump bottle so he knew that I liked it. I offered to pay but he said that he had had a good week on the horses and wouldn't take anything from me.

There are some very kind people around.

I got a multicoloured teapot in the CS that came from Whittards and cost £3. It was quite stained inside but after using bicarb soda , it is now immaculate. Will try to make a teacosy to go with it for friend`s birthday.
