  • In the last week I was gifted a 32" LCD flatscreen TV, a 6 mega pixlel Fiji camera with zoom attachement, a wallpaper steamerr, a pair of Kenwood Chefs, and 2 hi sleepers with matresses for my children.

Couldn't live without Freecycle. When money is tight, these free items really help out.

PS found the walpaper for £1 a roll in my local shop too.

  • I've just made & frozen a dozen beef burgers - and used the burger press (50p at car boot) they look really professional.

It also counts as my new recipe for this week as they are beef, walnut and rasin from a Readers Digest book.

went to Iceland in the wind and rain today. I noticed a large Golfing umbrella sticking out of refuge bin. bought milk and on way back picked up umbrella-thought i had use for it in the garden.Still raining when i got home ,so put it up,outside door to see how badly damaged it was.All that had happened was 2 clips had come out, which i promptly put back in seconds. Result= have new large umbrella which is too good for the use ,that i was going to put to it!
