I wombled a receipt from Mr T ... no Clubcard used, and nearly 200 points up for grabs! Now on mine. How can people not use a Clubcard when they spend so much at T's ??
Was this your receipt ? -confused by word wombled!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I believe that 'wombled' receipts are those picked up as litter. The name comes from the 70s TV cartoon characters who pick up litter, The Wombles.
Today's Frugal Finds - a FREE coffee filter machine from Argos, when I used a £5 voucher to get a £4.99 coffee machine in the sale (orig. price £14.99) for zilch.
Also used a half-price coupon in Wilko's to get an 18 wash bottle of Persil Small and Mighty for £1.79.
Two lovely green/blue unbreakable wine glasses half - price as well. Lots of reductions in Wilko's kitchen dept.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Before I went shopping I put a whole chicken in the slow cooker and it's the first time I have tried this. I read various suggestions and faffed around putting the chicken on foil placed on upturned butter dish on the bottom of the slow cooker. This is so that the chicken doesn't sit in liquid and you can use the foil at either side to lift the bird whole when cooking is complete.
Whilst shopping in a charity shop I noticed a brand new boxed item which is a silicone roast sling which is designed to lift and drain a roast and can withstand temps. up to 230C. I had never seen one before but I thought it was worth the £3 I paid for it and will use on on the next attempt and save a lot of fiddling about. It's even dishwasher proof!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Just got back today from a few days in London and a friend of mine has been flat sitting with her little girl for me. She's left half a bottle of wine, nearly a full box of fish fingers, 3 boxes of microchips, nearly a full 4 pint carton of milk and half a box of coco pops!
Plus mum gave me a packet of sausages she got reduced today.
Shouldn't need to shop for a few days.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -
1080 Recipes - lovely big fat posh book of Spanish recipes. It's been on my Amazon wishlist for a couple of years but nobody bought it for me and I could never justify buying it for myself.
Found it, brand new, in a charity shop today for £1.50!
I'm afraid I snatched it up quite rudely before anyone else could beat me to it0 -

I have been on the look-out for a new fruit bowl for quite some time and yesterday afternoon I spotted one in a charity shop window! Just what I wanted too! It looked brand new and still had the sticker on the bottom (from The Pier - alas one of the casualties of the recession) It cost more than I wanted to pay really (£5.99) but a heck of a lot less than I would have paid for a new one. And it looks lovely packed with fruit. So I am well pleased!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
