My lovely neighbour says she has a freezer full of apples so I can help myself to the ones which overlook our garden. As I have a small amount of blackberries hoping to freeze everything and make apple and blackberry crumble in the winter.

Also got a free sample of pesto sauce so that's a lunch covered for next week.
My next door neighbour's apple trees overhang my garden and he doesn't mind me helping myself. Apart from making the odd crumble or eve's pudding, I juiced the apples with my juicer and made 8 galls of apple wine. It was much tastier than wine made with cartons of apple juice.:j

I have been 'given' a drop leaf table and a corner unit, which ive been trying to save for years to buy. My mum and sister have been given a couple of bits too, all by my sisters godmothers daughter as my sis's godmother unfortunatly passed away and the house is being cleared due to being sold.
Only costing mum and me £30 or £15 each to have the it all delivered by a friend of mums partner.

At Kenwood House concert on Saturday we were given the following freebies - Red Magazine, 2 dining chair cushions, 2 bottles new brand chille and garlic sauce, samples of cider/fruit juice and sandwiches. :j
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.

    Goodie bag sounds great.
My frugal find was discovering that my raspberry bush has borne more fruit so popped them into the freezer to enjoy in the winter.

Yummy muffins with fruit from garden and value flour. Made some for friend who gave me some baby clothes for when junior arrives. Lots of different sizes so some bound to fit!

Not exactly a find but I collected my Boots Essentials lidded bucket ready for storing laundry gloop. I was going to make the gloop this evening but it was a busy evening work-wise - I work (mostly) from home. Got a super packet of cooking bacon from Heron - this one looks choc-full of gammon. Can't decide whether to make pirrukad (Estonian savoury mini pasties of bread dough filled with chopped onion and bacon) or home made cheese and bacon puff pastry savouries.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

4 packs of cherries reduced to 50p each. In the post I received a £3 voucher because when I bought a multipack of crackers with 6 packs in, there were only 4 so I rang to complain. The original pack was only £1!
