I wanted a pair of dark denim shorts, and found some (new) yesterday in a charity shop for 4€. They must have had an offer on as I was only charged 2€. Very happy with my bargain.
  • DH went to the tip yesterday with 2 big bags of plastic bottles to recycle. He came back with a drawer he had picked up from one of the containers and used the wood to make a birds nesting box. Now stained it looks really good. I suggested he could make lots of them and we could sell them at a Car Boot Sale - he wasn't taken with my idea!

  • I had a great cs haul yesterday- three brand new children's books for 50p each- two for my little boy and one for the present box. Also a new looking Frost French top for me for £3 plus five kids videos for £1 (we have a VHS player upstairs and my LO watches a video while DH and I shower in the morning).

I also have masses of courgettes from FIL's garden, which is great as I love courgettes.

Last of the strawberries, some broad beans and some salad leaves, which have been our most economical sowing so far, even taking the cost of the compost into account.

Also, two pulmonaria plants from a neighbour, who is apparently overrun with them.

  • I am also a hunter of the car boots, freecycle and ebay.

My latest 2 finds were a Silver cross style pram with the foot muff, parasol (sp?), rain cover, and pushchair seat with changing bag £10.51 (seen the exact same one for £695 - I might need a new liner (My cousin said I can have her spare moses basket liner).

Also purchased a desk for dh computer - £10 saw the same one in Ikea £110 :)

My cousin, my SIL and my hubbys cousin all have bagged up lots of little baby things for when bambino arrives :) I will bake gifts as a thank you.

On the other side I have recently donated to freecycle - a full wardrobe set, twilight books, a surround system (my mum treated us for christmas to a blu ray one) and table and chairs - This is being part of my great declutter :)
