One of hubbys workmates gave him a box full of disney videos, that his children had outgrown. Ok we will have to put them on dvd (luckily my hubby can do that) but it'll still save a fortune for the little uns.
    Have 3 DS: 18, 5 & 3. Would love a 4th.

I picked up some tulips in Aldi on Saturday. Took them to the till and my sister paid for them for me. Yesterday a friend brought me some roses, and today I was given some Sanctuary bath bits as a "Thank you" for making a nappy cake for someone at work (they bought all the goods, I just put it together for them). A wonderful weekend!
  • I've been wanting a comfy cotton summer dress for ages (and cheap). Picked up a brand new 100% cotton gorgeous black & white dress in the charity shop - even better was the price - just £2.50. :D
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

My Mummy decided it was time to wash the door sausage cover, and having not put a zip in when she made it, she unpicked the end and pulled out what she thought was all of her laddered tights. But she found three of her screwed up dresses from the sixties. I am like a mini-Mummy, and exactly the same height, shoe size and dress size that she was then, and am a massive fan of fashion from that era, so she gave them to me! One just needs some buttons, but I expect if I go down her button jar, I'll find the originals, as she's a button hoarder too!

That's on top of the dress she gave me at Christmas, which is a bright green heavy brocade mini shift, from Biba! :T

My friend gave me 3 bags of clothes for my boys....She has saved me a fortune over the years by doing this:T...I try to compensate by taking a carrot cake each time:p

DS1 found 2p (not much but he was pleased with himself!)

On Monday I went to the cinema (freebie) with a friend, and had a lovely time. (took our own sweets and drink!)

My lovely neighbour gave the kids a bag of 200 lollipops that had been in her work for a promotion and were going to be chucked out. She took them instead, 4 boxes of them!!!!! and gave them to the kids in the street. They are boiled sugar lollies but all have lovely flavours. I have some of them in the treat tin, and have stashed about 150 away for later in the year. Be nice to have something yummy to grab for a wee treat.

(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Why can I never find a green, envious-looking smiley when I want one?!

The charity shop had reduced the price of the books to 3 for £1 yesterday so I bought 3.

Today I (supposedly) received a £15 rail token as a 'goodwill gesture' from Network South West after I argued the toss when I lost 1 days refund on my season ticket as the ticket office was closed, unfortunately they forgot to enclose it
