Idiots on the motorway!

  • This is very similar to what happened to me the other day. Was cruising through Sheffield in my brand new S5 when I spotted some punter in a clapped out Mazda chugging along in the middle lane.

I tried for ages to get the driver's attention and ask where they passed their test so I could put in a complaint to the DVLA about the standard of driving on UK motorways.

I don't know what all this fuss about middle lane "hoggers" is all about as if I'm in the slow lane and someone is slower in the middle lane I just pass them in the slow lane.

There are quite a lot of things that the Americans have got wrong but allowing overtaking on either side is one of the good things about the freeway system and we should allow it here.

Isn't that allowed on the M25? There are all those signs saying "Don't Change Lanes" ?

So GPS, beaming a signal from your car to a satalite in space, gives a more accurate reading than the actual speedo connected to the car??

    A live tarantula perhaps? :D

I would crash immediately if anyone did that to me!! I almost lost control of my car once because a wasp got in through an open window. Yes, I am a hazard to others where insects and driving are involved... no, i was not in the middle lane...:D

If a wasp flew into my car I dread to think what damage I'd end up causing! Have a huge phobia of the evil things. To put it into perspective, I'm the person at the pub outside in the summer providing the entertainment running away looking like a complete idiot from the buzzy thing that is probably just a fly!

That happened to my BIL once. We were off out for the day, him following in his car when suddenly he peeled off the straight road we were on and vanished. This was the days before mobile phones and he had no idea where the place we were visiting was.... we backtracked but couldn't find him.

When he turned up 2 hours later he explained a wasp had flown in the car :rotfl:
