Sorry I misunderstood or misread. I can't see where you said you were in the middlelane so I presumed it was two lanes as you said you were just pass Snake Pass which isn't on a motorway, A57?, and is two lanes on parts and one lane for the rest.

Car jackings can happen for a number of reasons including switching cars after using one as a get away car. If they leave the owners middle of no where without phones etc then it gives them extra time to get away.

This Happened to me and my girlfriend but her little brother had left his toy gun in the car.

A Quick Cartridge Reload and gun !!!!.... They soon left us alone.:rotfl::p

The Drivers face was priceless. Idiots.

Had someone on Sunday race up the back of my car on a dual carriageway, was overtaking so didn't move over, old fella in a battered galaxy, he then switched on a blue flashing light in the windscreen, not a police car, but obviously trying to appear to be and I moved over, he flew past me.

I hope you made a note of his Reg No and have reported it to the actual police so they can look into it and keep an eye out for him? I'd like to think they would take impersonating a police car pretty seriously (unless on the off chance that he was actually an unmarked police car, but using an old Galaxy I'd guess this would be unlikely)

Saturday night we were just past Snakes Pass (Sheffield area) on the motorway minding our own business (doing exactly 70mph trying to save money) on our way to Great Yarmouth when some idiot in an Audi S5 drives right up our a*se flashing his lights on and off constantly for a minute or so. Thinking that maybe he had something wrong with his car we moved over to the outside lane to let him pass. Just as we did this a white transit van appears infront of us, a silver one behind us and the w*nker in the audi next to us in the middle lane trying to talk us into winding our window down and distracting us while the transit vans blocked us in.

Anyway we realised what was going on put our foot down and managed to get out just in time, two minutes later all three go darting past and start picking on some other poor !!!!!! in the front. Didn't quite manage to get the reg's but phoned the police all the same.

Anyone have any idea what was going on? I thought they might have been trying to bully us into pulling over so they could rob us but that would've only worked if we were on the inside lane surely? Also, we weren't in a nice car or anything, just an old Mazda 323.

When we spoke to the police they said it was happening quite a lot around the country- whatever you do DO NOT OPEN YOUR WINDOW if it happens to you, just do your best to get away, we got the impression he was going to throw something into the car if we did.

Why'd u move to outside lane to let him pass???

Oh and we knew they were together because we saw them after a while pulling into a service station, one transit in front, audi in the middle, other transit behind.

I'm confused. Was it a three lane motorway?

Were you sitting in the middle lane and then moved over to the outside lane? Why?

Not on a motorway but last Tuesday we were put off the road on a dual carriageway. My husband was overtaking some cars and was almost parallel with a micra when she just came over to our side - no indicators either. She was looking right at us as we went off the road but she kept on going. She just swerved back into her own lane and didn't stop, despite us knocking one of those plastic bollards flying and missing a signpost by inches. It's fortunate that there was a bit of a gravel trap or we'd have been right into the central reservation.

Because, as I said in the first post, he was right up our !!!!, his lights flashing on and off constantly and we at first thought there may have been something wrong with his car so we moved over.
