Hi,
I am in bit of a situation with receiving a Parking Charge Notice from Parking Eye car part Management for over staying in Welcome Break Oxford.
The letter has got photographs of me entering at 12:37am with headlight on and the other around 4:07am with my head lights off. But it says that’s when I left the service station. But exiting the service station without my headlights on.. that’s not correct.
Anyways they want £90, which has been reduced to £60 if I pay in the next two days. And after the given date it will be £120 (£90 + £30admin fees). I read a lot of forums and websites. But I am a bit worried what will be the consequences of not paying the ticket. Yes my fault overstaying but I was extremely tired that my eyes were closing while driving, my intention was to get a power nap for about an hour or so but didn’t wake till after 3 hrs (boy I was tired).
Is it right to think that they cant pursue this.?? Please advice.. if not I need to make a payment in the next two days.0 -

Just ignore these clowns. You don't owe them a penny. They are not the police or the council but a private company with no more right than you or me to demand money off people. They won't "pursue" you. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Phew.... got me worried fr no reason.. eyy..:beer:0 -
You are not in a 'situation' except in the middle of a mail scam, a bit like phishing emails. Easily ignored and nothing will happen, no effect on your credit rating. Relax.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Safety comes first, not that these parking give a monkeys about that, better to ignore a scam notice and sleep for however long you need than arriving home in a coffin. They have no authority to issue penalties as clearly this is, they wont take you to court, any judge worth their salt would clearly mark this as a stupid claim and strike it out.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
To clarify, what Trisontana means by "they won't pursue you" is they are never going to take it to Court. They will "pursue" you in the sense that you will get a few letters trying to bully you into coughing up, with a variety of threats including that of court. Just completely ignore anything you receive. The more you ignore, the sooner they will give up and move on, as its costing THEM money.0

Write to your MP and explain how you were concerned that you might cause a massive motorway pile up which might lead to multiple casualties, massive cost to the emergency services and severe disruption of a major transport link so you took the only sensible option available to you. Now, having done exactly the right thing you've found yourself the target of a bunch of scammers as a result.
Your letter probably won't change anything but it might make you feel better and would be a better use of your time than worrying about Parking Lie.The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us
