I will get the excat wording from the letter tomorrow.
Does it say "will" take legal action or "may" take legal action. There's a big difference, think of the difference between I "will" win the jackpot on the lottery and I "may" win the jackpot on the lottery.
And they can't send in bailiffs without taking you to court, winning their case and then you not paying within the specified time. This is how Parking Eye operate, they mislead and scare people into paying up by sending out false and threatening letters. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

That's the thing, most people skim through the letter, they know who it's from because of the logos and they try to take it in as quickly as possible and only end up picking out the main jist of it. That's why it's always a good idea to then put the letter down, go make a cuppa, then go back and read it s l o w l y.
At which point you can then calm down and realise it's just another piece of bog roll.0 -

IT'S MEANT TO SCARE YOU! Because scaring you is their only chance of getting any money out of you! They won't get it by taking you to Court, because:
a. They won't take you to Court and
b. If they did they wouldn't win (which explains a.)
As has been said, it is impossible to send bailiffs unless:
a. They take you to Court (but see above)
b. They win (but see above)
c. You don't pay the judgment- but we have already established there won't be one.
Think about it- if they could really do it, they would have done by now. Be brave, stand firm, if this is the "Final Notice" you are not far away from the R-soles giving it up as a bad job and disappearing out of your life for ever.
I should know, it has happened to me over 80 times and I have never paid one penny.0 -

Why bother with the exact wording? The letter is already on our top thread - look under ANY PPC that uses that debt collector's letters. You should by now just be laughing and playing 'PPC snap' when each predictable threatogram arrives.
I don't get why people always post as if their letter is unusual when we have all the letters in pictures at the top? Along with a very clear Watchdog clip with a solicitor's advice - everything you need to stop panicking (and yes I have been through this - and I laughed as soon as I saw the fake PCN!).
Just check the top thread, top of the forum & only a click away (see my signature).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, I received a parking charge letter from parking eye on saturday a week after I had actually parked there asking for £50 by 16th may or itl be £80 then further down says its actually £80 plus £30 admin fee. I've sent them an email to appeal against it as it says I was parked there 13 mins and you get 10 mins free, however, they also state underneath I arrived at 15.22 and left at 15.36 which to me is 14 mins, either was 3 mins or 4 mins over was spent reversing then waiting in traffic to get out of the barrier shown on the photo provided by them on my letter. They say it takes 10 days to reply by post which will be past the date the charge is due by.
A friends sister is a solicitor and said she's ignored a few now, I'm guessing the general advice is to ignore these letters?
Have I done wrong by emailing them?
Any further advice/experience on this situation would be great0 -
Just off to bed now but yes, ignore them, you and the solicitor have got it right!

In order...
Yes.

Ignopre everything from these ****ers.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Even if you’ve confirmed who the driver was, it doesn’t make their actions any less unlawful. It just means that instead of unlawfully harassing the registered keeper, they can now unlawfully harass the driver. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
What, you thought they would pass up the chance to collect a heap of money by allowing your appeal? That isn't what their game-plan is!
Luckily, although the IGNORE process is best adopted from the outset, you can take it up at any stage.
Such as now. Solicitors often know what they are talking about when it comes to the law.
Unless they are called Graham White. Or Thomas Higgins Partnership. Or a couple others I could mention.....0
