Oooo what a bargain (not) and no time at all to pay at their lovely 'discounted scam rate'. :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After 100 days or so to goes to £0 [as in, they stop writing to you].
I usually go for the £0 option.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Yep, oldest trick in the book they send a letter giving a "discounted" rate but it expired yesterday. You would be surprised how many people fall for it and rush to send them a cheque which is pre-dated by a few days... only for the crooks to say thanks very much but you were out of time, now let's have the rest of it... They have to pull these tricks because most people are now wise to them, the supply of mugs who pay is dwindling, and therefore when they hook one they have to milk it for all it's worth.
Like Oopsy, I always wait for the £0 option. Do the same, buddy.0 -
Received a similar ltr today, asking me to pay £50 by 15 Feb. Instinctively felt wrong. Yes, it is my car pictured. Yes I was at this retail park on the date and time mentioned and twice since but have been visiting this park for many years. The only recent difference is the addition of a small ASDA. There are several other units including Hobbycraft and Argos but the car park is never full, even with Asda.
Red flags were raised for me because:
a) two days to pay up or else; (really - I don't think so)
b) from what I remember when I worked in a private legal dept, any moving/still CCTV on private business pks/car pks where it was LIKELY/REASONABLE TO EXPECT the picture could also capture people has to be very clearly and visibly signposted at a point before the picture is recorded; and
c) if a parking time limit is applicable then this also has to be clearly signposted in several visible positions and I thought in the entrance to the retail outlets also.
Neither b) nor c) applied in my case and I always check this in car parks especially when the outlets change.

I think that what you are trying to say in a roundabout way is ...............PPC = ignore, ignore, ignore some more.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0

:rotfl:Yes, Biddles, a complicated rationale arriving at the conclusion that you should not pay... when a simple "this is an unenforceable scam" would have arrived at the same result.:rotfl:0

I wondered if anyone had any experience of getting a parking ticket from Parking Eye for a Company Car.
I firstly received a notice of an adminstration charge from the leasehire company which had come through a director of my company. I then contacted the leasehire company as I thought that this was a recharged fine whereupon they told me that this was just the admin fee and that they had advised Parking Eye that my company was the keeper of the car. I then recieved the fine from Parking Eye for overstaying in a car park (1 hour 40 as opposed to their free parking limit of 1 hour 30 -There was adequate signage in the car park).
From what I've read on this subject, the advice is to ignore. However, as the car is registered to a company and not to me (and I haven't yet contacted Parking Eye), might they not threaten my company in which case I would be under pressure to pay?0 -
All Parking Eye can do is threaten. Their silly meaningless 'fines' have no legal validity. Have a word with your company and show them the watchdog video if they need convincing.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Tons of threads like yours online, here and on pepipoo. Search the forum and/or Google for 'lease private parking BVRLA sixt PCN' and follow the advice on the threads you will find.
There's a few pepipoo threads but beware, tread softly with your employer, as in the most recent one a guy has just been sacked over such a matter!
If you are determined, you'll have to tell the company and lease company that you won't be paying this and it's none of their business as they are not liable. In fact the lease company probably should not have even charged an Admin fee as this is not a real Penalty from the Police or a Local Authority.
You could also try writing to Parking Eye and saying you were the driver, giving your address. Then you can get all the threatograms and ignore them - if Parking Eye send them to you rather than to the lease co or employer (easier touch for them as they know Fleet Managers can be stupid and just pay up).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
