ive had a charge from excel, from one of these [parking eyes, i wouldnt mind but i have the ticket to prove a paid, the time of arrival corresponds with my ticket, but they are saying because i missed a digit from my numberplate when i got the ticket i've failed my contract, so even though I know for a fact i paid for the ticket to park there, i now owe them £207 i had my 1st letter from graham white on saturday, they can whistle though, there's no way i'm paying anything its disgusting that they think they can charge me £207 for missing the 1st digit off my numberplate0

It would be great if they took you to court and then you produced the ticket to prove you had paid. I wonder if that would be grounds to describe the PPCV as vexatious litigants?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Turns out i also got a parking notice from a company, sadly i had also sent of my new documents and address details to the DVLA and subsequently the letters were sent to old address. Have received 3 letters so far, all of which i have picked up over 1 month after the actuall suposed date of the parking.
So far i have inadvertantly missed all 3 letters.
Guess im going to be missing a few more letters in the future too!!
Annoyingly, i spent a good 20 minutes looking for a space, as it was christmas shopping time so the parking bays were full, so actually didnt park till way after i got in there :mad:0 -

If they've specifically said the "penalty" is for a breach of contract they've shot themselves in the foot. By law all they can claim for a breach of contract is a "reasonable pre-estimate of losses suffered" and it doesn't sound like £207 is a reasonable claim in your case.
Have a look here (page 40) - http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/reports/unfair_contract_terms/oft311.pdfThe fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

GUYS YOU NEED TO START TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY
i can vouch for the fact that since receiving a ticket a few things have happened which i can lay directly on the doors of t&c
i keep getting the urge to shove the tickets up the local distributors backside
i have taken to grinning like a loon at `mr t&c` each time i see him especially as hes wearing the official `beanie` hat
i have taken to watching the letterbox eagerly awaiting the next instalment, i have actually cancelled my subscription to viz as i find the letters far funnier
im getting the overwhelming urge to find out were `mr t&c` parks his vehicle and stick a load of post it notes on his screen demanding payment :rotfl:0 -
hi
i also got a notice for overstaying in an out of town car park whilst shopping there.
I stupidly rang up to pay without checking online. i was annoyed about having to pay £3 credit card charge on top of £50 fine so said i would send a check. they extended my payment period by 14 days.
i then decided to go online to pay when i came across these forums telling me that it was a scam
have i admitted liabiltiy by ringing them up? do i need to pay or can i still safely ignore?
cheers0 -
Just ignore them from now on.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

This is not a fine but a scam. I make a habit of ignoring these Mickey Mouse 'fines'. Just be prepared for some silly threatmail and do not be intimidated by this scam.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

I wish I had read the forum sooner.
I received a PCN for parking and shopping at Morrison one evening at 9:30pm when it was approaching the store's closing time, and all the ticket machines were covered by plastic bag.
Not knowing I could just ignore the Notice, I have been panicking and spent a lot of time writing to ParkingEye and Morrison to appeal. I don't know the outcome yet. Have I been wasting my time?0 -

Errr...yep! But at least you didn't pay the fake PCN!:T
Your letters to Morrisons should have been COMPLAINTS about them allowing a third party to harass paying customers - you can vote with your feet you know.
Have you read the stickies on here, seen the Watchdog video?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
