Send the next template letter of the process as normal, but insert the following somewhere near the beginning of the letter................
I cannot accept your offer of £200 as full and final settlement of my claim. I would only accept this as a part payment and without prejudice, but I will continue my claim for the balance. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I am using the sample letter which advises the bank that I am not happy with their response but there is a part where I state the name of the court and whilst this may be a silly question how do I know which court to mention?0

Hi I am new here, so new i cant figure out how to make a new post:)
I have read the forum but i still have a couple of questions if someone is able to help me out with the answers.
1. i have my personal current account with barclays which i would like to claim the charges back from, but i also have a joint current account with my mum. If i reclaim the charges will they shut down the joint account?
2. I am with a debt management company, if i claim back the bank charges will that then affect me and the debt management agreement?
3. I have a parchute account opened with the Woolwich, but they were bought out by barclays a few years back, should I open another account with another bank to be on the safe side?
4. can i claim for all the bank charges as well as the intrest they have charged on top? this month alone has mounted up to £246.33
Please can someone give me some guidence/advice, before I take the first step.0 -

The court in Leeds you need (and will be transfered to if you get that far in your claim) will be..........
Leeds Combined Court Centre
The Court House
1 Oxford Row
Leeds
West Yorkshire
LS1 3BG
England
DX 703016 Leeds 6
This is a combined Crown and County court. You will be using the county court part. Just put down Leeds County Court. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

The joint account shouldn't be affected at all.barclaysbabe wrote:2. I am with a debt management company, if i claim back the bank charges will that then affect me and the debt management agreement?
I've never dealt with these, so I'm sure someone else will help you here.barclaysbabe wrote:3. I have a parchute account opened with the Woolwich, but they were bought out by barclays a few years back, should I open another account with another bank to be on the safe side?

You can only claim interest caused by charges alone, not by just being overdrawn. Working out the interest on the charges only can be VERY difficult. You need to know the interest rate charged, which charge/charges you can claim interest on, and if you are going to claim for this interest, you need to work the figures out accurately in case you are challenged on the amounts at any stage. Generally I advise people to concentrate on reclaiming the charges only. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
