Just recieved a full offer of £2051.50 from Natwest  :j

I sent my 2nd ltr to them 23rd Feb and have had an offer in the "post" for the past 2 weeks apparently. I was just about to give up and file with MCOL when I recieved a letter not admitting liability but will pay me the full amount of £2051.50.

I wrote my first letter to them using the very useful templates and they wrote back after a week saying the charges were justified. So I wrote my 2nd letter and they gave me back my money as a "goodwill gesture".

I was very shocked how easy it was to get my money back, I even booked myself & my fiance a holiday with it.

Thanks Martin, your a star!! :T

 Amount Claimed Incl. Court Costs £720.00
    Amount Successfully Reclaimed: £720.00 :j

I have just successfully managed to claim back all charges from the above building society. They firstly offered me a "goodwill gesture" of half the money, which I turned down. They then offered me the full amount as another "goodwill gesture" without admission, which I accepted.

I am now doing the same with Lloyds TSB for £2800.00 and have just received notification of their defence and the case has been referred to my local court. Will let you all know how it goes.

  • HSBC refunded £1234 within 5 weeks of first letter, wrote 2 letters in total!

:T Amazing, claimed my fiance's bank charges back from HSBC for him (as I'm most definitely the money saving one in the partnership!) and within 5 weeks they agreed to refund £1234 (odd number I know) - they refused to pay the interest on top of that but we're pretty happy with what we got, only had to write two letters, am now going to claim back my Natwest charges from my student days, wish me luck!

Thanks Martin for your template letters etc, makes it so easy!

Story - I only had to send the first letter, I gave them 14 days to relpy to my letter. On the 15th day I received a letter from them that stated the 'Terms & Conditions' But as a gesture of goodwill they had decided to pay me the full amount, which was paid directly into my account within 3 weeks of me sending the letter. Brilliant result, and all of this was possible by reading Martins site. We All owe a big thankyou to Martin for his valuable information. Thanks. :T

Wrote first and second letters - received two letters from Colin Langdale who said he'd respond fully by 17th April. Got letter on 28th March offering £900. As I'm off work sick at the moment, I've accepted!!:p

So delighted - thank you all here who gave me the courage to go on... AND I've had my council tax band reduced.

    Martin, I love you! :D
