  • Halifax Bank

    Amount Claimed £712
    Amount Paid £712

    Halifax Visa

    Amount claimed £680
    Amount paid £680

Sent initial letters and received standad "get lost" responses from both declining to refund anything.

Send second letters out asking for interest as well. Received partial offers of roughly half the amounts claimed.

Rejected both offers and threatened legal action to include interest and Court costs.

Have received offers of full settlement.

My advice would be stick to your guns and don't back down. I'm off after Barclaycard now and a few others....

BIG THANKS TO MARTIN AND HIS TEAM as I would not have received this back without this website!! :A :rotfl:

    Hi,

Could someone please clarify for me if I can make a claim on a co-op visa card. If so do I still use the template letter off this site.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jo

I'm trying - sent my first letter away a week ago asking for the charges to be refunded but no reply so far - i'll wait and see if I don't hear from them within 14 days I'll go on to do next letter
  • I've sent my 2nd letter off to HSBC asking for my £3000 back.

I'm just wondering what i should do if it gets to the 'threatening court action' stage? I stay in Scotland but my branch is based in England. How does it work in Scotland if the small claims court only allows you to claim up to £750??
  • Sent letter off to barclaycard one week ago reclaiming charges. Rec'd reply today stating they are dealing with my complaint as quickly as possible and aim to resolve matters by 10th April. Question is what do I do now? (a)send next letter threatening to go to court when original 14 days are up i.e. in one week OR Wait until 10th April then if I've not heard from send the next letter?

  • I sent my letter to Royal Bank of Scotland on Monday 19th february - I received a reply on Friday 2nd March offering to pay the amount in full - £614.96. The funds were in my account the following Thursday!! Hows that for promptness. Thanks RBS I'm really impressed!!: beer:
  • I apologise if this question has already been answered but I am confused y the charges on statements and what I can claim back.

I have monthly od charges of £10 and £25 so not sure if I can claim this and unauthorised daily od charges of £3.50 per day.

Can anyone tell me if I can claim these?
