Well after four weeks of going through the processes on this site HSBC have offered me £1029 which I am accepting. It did take two letters and the money reclaim website but I am really pleased with the result.

What makes it all the more sweeter is that I moved from HSBC last June and have not had a single charge in my Bank usage since.

Thankyou to all on this site and Martin:money: you made the difference between thinking about it and knowing it was possible and going through with it.

I am telling everyone I know about this, how to do it and the website.

ok... perhaps a small victory compared to other totals, but oh boy, I needed every penny of it!
I sent the initial letter/total claim amt. then had the "oh dear, we will look into it" letter. Before I had chance to do the MCOL thing, a 2nd letter arrived offering me a goodwill settlement in full. They can call it what they like!
I was DELIGHTED to have it sorted so quickly!:p

I am also currently in the process of claiming back approx. £1400 from Barclays...
Cheeky b*ggers have offered me £575 goodwill (yeah right!) & I phoned them to give them a last chance before I do MCOL... they wouldn't budge so off we go to court!
Keep your fingers crossed for me & I will add my new figure as soon as I get it!:T

Hello, I use to have a MORETHAN credit card and incurred a lot of charges, MORETHAN no longer have a credit card service and my account was closed several years ago. Lloyds deal with old MORTHAN credit card accounts yet they can’t find any details relating to me. Is there anything I can do?? Many thanks.

Do you have any old statements? Can you prove you had the card?

I have written to my bank asking for my statements, they are certainley taking their time. Ihave also written to Goldfish, my credit card issuer, but I don't know what charges I can claim back? I'm not sure if I've ever gone over the limit for the card, but I have been charged more than once for late payments on the card. Can I claim these back?

Any feedback would be a great help before I pay £10 for the back statements.

Yes you can reclaim these charges.
