  • Would be very intersted to hear if anyones claim has gone through ok useing a PO box number within the defendants address? I have done this as i just used the address on the correspondence i have been receiving from Barclays.
    MCOL advise me that it maybe ok but a judge may not consider an address with a PO box number as a permanent address!!

    Hi there
    Does anybody know the Direct Line address to reclaim for our bank charges.
    Basically we applied for a further loan on our mortgage of £1000 from Direct Line on the Monday and they said it would take three days to be paid into our Halifax account. By Friday, unknown to us the payment had still not gone into our Halifax account and we received two bills from the Halifax totalling £148 for bank charges as we had gone over our overdraft limit.
    We phoned Direct Line who said they had had a system failure and the payment would not go through until Monday (today) and they promised to stand any bank charges.
    We need the address as it is not the same as the address that we correspond to for our mortgage but a customer service address. We have to send a copy of the Halifax letter to prove the charges. I can't find it anywhere on the website.
    Thanks

    Hi Guys - I'M NEW HERE!!!

    My friend who saw Martin on GMTV told me to come to this site as I have been paying huge bank charges from HSBC for the past 3 or so years (on average £125 per month).
    I wrote to my HSBC branch last monday (FAO The Manager) asking for a list of the past 6 year's charges and havne't heard anything yet. I'd like to ask you guys with experience of this;
    a.) did I address my letter in the correct way i.e. should I have written to the branch or to another address? and
    b.) how long does it normally take for them to send the lsit back?

    Thanks guys, your help is much appreciated!

    Can anyone help please? I have just started the moneyclaim against the Nat West, I first wrote to them in early December, again in Jan/Feb, but they just ignore my letters. So I have got the ball rolling with mcol, I filled out the form on line paid my money, but am now unsure if I have to do anything else, or do mcol take over from here? I am a bit stuck at this point, can anyone give me a bit of advice. I am now claiming for £1900.00, I have included interest now.

    Thanks

  • Been trying since June, but looked online today and noticed that my account is over £2000 healthier! I claimed from Lloyds TSB, who dragged it out as much as the could, but got back 100% of what I claimed. Thanks for all your help.

    I should also add that when i originally sent for my bank statements, to give Barclays their due they did return the £10 cheque.

    I don't think you claim will fail because of those few days. Worst case scenario those charges are knocked off.
