Have you actually started claiming? If not please read Martin's article and just follow the reclaim steps.

weekenny wrote:1st time ive posted here. Do i need to include a copy of my statements with my 1st letter or do i just need to list all the charges?
List all your charges and what they are for with the date as should this end up with you taking court action this will be required as your defence.0 -
Bank: Halifax Plc
Amount Claimed: £156
Amount They Paid: £136
After receiving the standard 'no way are we giving you anything..' letter and then sending my second letter in, I received a call from a very nice lady who offered me £136. I told her I'd take it as long a she acknowledged that if I took it further I'd get the full amount (lol)... she agreed that I would ^^
Thank you Martin and the folks at MSE. I'd never have done it without you"The reasonable man adapts to the world,

Until now I've sent the two formal letters to the Bank of Scotland Head Office in Edinburgh who sent one letter of reply saying they would respond in 4 weeks.
7 days is up though so I'm going to do the Moneyclaim thing today and issue claim against Bank of Scotland to their England legal address in Halifax.
Doesn't seem to be any continuity now going to the Halifax address but does this fall in line with Martin's procedure anyway?
Thanks as always...
Stick with the Halifax address if you are doing this online.
Bank of Scotland officially known as Halifax Bank of Scotland aka HBOS0 -

I sent first letter to my mortgage company to reclaim non DD charge of £50 a time and late payment charges of £50 a time on the first letter they basicly said there charges are in line with everyone else, and would not refund anything i sent them second letter and then they said that they still stick with there first letter and that if i want to take them to court that is within my right and send them the summons but i will incure additional legal cost on top of what ever i owe them does anyone know if this is true and has anyone took a mortgage company to court any advise and they also told me to send the summons to there po box trading address not the registered address any advise on this aswell.
If you end up taking the company to court, yes there can be additional court costs depending on the amount of the claim.
If you are using the online system, use the registered address.0 -

abbey have said they are back logged with claims for getting charges re-claimed so they are taking 4 weeks to do them should i give them this time or should i issue a summons. the same with Argos card services they have sent me a letter after 3 weeks sayin that the address on file does not match the address on the letter. should i send them a summons aswell there time run out today.
Follow your time scale and send the next letter if they have not replied in the due time.0
