Thank you for that bassman, like I said, I haven't read all the thread, but I have read the terms and conditions. I had no intention really of sending in my 4th bill, as it states you have to have been connected for 120 days, and for all e2save know, I may have cancelled my contract after I received the 4th bill. This never made sense to me.
I'm going to send in my 5th bill and hopefully receive a cheque, but I am not holding my breath.
I've been with e2save for a few years, and handled the claims for numerous phones with no problems. But this is the last time, I won't risk it again. Maybe e2save have shot themselves in the foot with this latest deal, it seems to have put a lot of people off.0 -
It hasn't. They ain't new deals no more. They've been selling a lot of them too I suspect for quite some time - and many loyal customers are discovering they are no longer the company they once were. You should be ok provided you send the original January bill as soon as you receive it (at least recorded delivery, naturally, now!).0

Has there been a change, as they have in their ts + cs that if the item gets lost they won't pay any cashback at all.0 -
That's why I said "at least". As with doing a deal with the Devil in the first instance, it's a risk-reward decision. I am well aware of the arguments and rather thought you'd come back on that one! Lol!0

Well the risk is enormous!
If you send in your first claim and it gets lost in the post - or delivered late, that has cost you 100% of the cashback (£420 if its a £35/month contract). Losing the last claim in the post still sets you back £84 in this example.
The only way to safeguard against that happening is to use special delivery and pay for consequential loss insurance on top.0 -

No wonder Which! has announced that it considers cashback deals to be rip-offs that should be avoided and not touched with a barge-pole.
In September, I claimed my first cashback from the Carphone Warehouse affiliated e2save. As required in the detail for making claims, I sent the original of my fourth bill within 30 days of its receipt by recorded delivery - in fact, I sent it by recorded guaranteed next day delivery. I also sent the original of my first bill as I had ported my number.
I received a text to confirm that it was received but heard no more and almost three months later have still not received the cashback to which I am entitled. I have tried sending a message through the e2save site but all I ever received in response was an email to my email address saying that the messages could not be delivered. Attempts to phone were met by the messages that the call line was experiencing problems and I should try again later or that the line works office hours and is unavailable at weekends. Eventually, in midweek, I managed to speak to someone who told that I had applied too early and my claim had been rejected, although no-one thought to tell me that. This information was clearly wrong, and when I quoted the terms of my deal and what I had sent, the lady to whom I was speaking asked me to fax to her a copy of my latest bill to prove that I still had the account open and that I had made all necessary payments. I complied and have heard nothing since, despite sending 12 emails and three faxes. Clearly I have not received the cashback either.
I expected better of a company affiliated to Carphone Warehouse. Sadly, I was mistaken and, it seems, Which! is absolutely spot on with its analysis of cashback deals. Be warned! Even taking great care to note T&C and complying with them to the letter could prove fruitless.
I should add that my daughter, who used a different company for a cashback deal will not get any cash back as the company she dealt with has gone into liquidation owing millions. She is left with a mobile contract that she can't really afford without the cash back. The mobile phone company with which she has the contract is unsympathetic to her plight and is insisting on the contract running its course.0 -
They agreed to settle with regards to two of my claims, plus legal fees. Yay
But, it's on the agreement that for further claims, I will only have 30 days from the cashback date (and not the required bill date).

Are they offering to pay your claim in full? (Did you just sue for two instalments or the whole amount outstanding?)
(They really have no reason to make you accept any changes to the original contract which are to your detriment - it was they who have breached the contract, and your legal action was all about getting the money paid, not offering to "do a deal" with them to get what is your rightful payment.)0 -
It's just the first two claims. I still have 3 to get.
Just been in a meeting and was thinking about it.
They've offered to pay me something I was entitled to. And only offering the legal fees (£25) on top of that, nothing more, given how much time and phone calls I've had to make. And they want me to change to terms so that they are harder to fulfill.
I think I'll email back and try to negotiate. Say that I think the offer is unfair. It doesn't account for the time and hassle it has caused, and the terms are worse than the ones I currently have."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
