    Hi,

My g/f got a deal from e2save in june (2nd). She got the phone and after a bit of messing around realised she couldn't port her number from orange to vodafone. To cut a long story short, she got a returns number and sent the phone back in accordance with the 7 day returns policy. The phone was sent back on the 7th and special delivery signed for it on the 8th, so it's within the 7 day period. She cancelled the DD with Vodafone to make sure they don't take any money. Sure enough, voda send her TWO letters saying the DD has been cancelled so she will have to pay extra £2 for payment. I told her not to worry about it as the contract should be cancelled. Then, we get a bill for £38 from vodafone. When we go onto e2save website and login, it turns out they haven't cancelled the conract!!

She tried calling them yesterday and was in a queue for 30 mins and gave up. We're not going to pay out £38 for something e2save should have cancelled.

Has anyone else had experience with this and if so, offer any advice/assistance? Many thanks.

    Jon

I sent mine on the 25th of july special delivery .. Royal mail website showed my item as deliverd before 1 pm on the 26th.As of today there is no electronic proof of delivery( i.e a signature available ) on the rm website, got a text from e2save yesterday( barely a week later) that claim as been received an i shoul allow 30 days for a response.
I think the £4.10 spent on special delivery is well worth it

Just a quick update barely three weeks after sending my claim to e2save... they sent me a text advising that claim has been successful and that i should expect check within the next 14 days....E2save from my experience so far are not as bad as ppl have potrayed. Hmmm may be i should wait for check to arrive before i start singing thier praises

When my sister fancied a new phone, we both decided to get Sony K750i from E2Save. We both ordered on the same day, (28th March), they were delivered the same day, phone bills dated the same, etc.

As my sister gets into a flap with things like this I said that I would deal with both the cashbacks. After all it should be easy enough - they are due at the same time and checking the "invoice/delivery note" that came with the phone it said it was looking for the 4th bill. I checked the "my account" section of the website, where my account said it was looking for July's bill, (which was my 4th bill).

You can imagine my horror when I went to fill in the chequeback voucher in July and the table on the back of that leaflet said phones bought in March required June bills. That would only be my third bill so I hadn't even checked that table beforehand and besides it said inside that leaflet they wanted the 4th bill.

I got my sister to check her "account" section of the website and hers also said they were looking for June Bills (even though it was bought the same day as mine and my account still says July).

I phoned their Customer Services and someone was supposed to phone me back but never did so I sent both claims off special delivery with covering letters explaining the discrepancies but not really keeping my hopes up.

Anyway, I was delighted when I got a text from them saying my chequeback had been approved and I should expect the cheque within fourteen days. However my sister never recieved any texts at all and I was starting to feel guilty as I thought I had let her down. We decided to give E2save a call and felt a lot better when they said her cheque had also been issued on 5th August and apologising as the automated text service doesn't always work.

This is the first time I have dealt with E2save and touch wood they seem to be doing okay by me.

GF finally got her cheque for the first lot of cashback last week. Tracking number still shows as undelivered but she also faxed through her information as per the earlier advice in this thread so not sure if they did get the documents in the post or whether or not it was as a result of the fax. Hope there isn't all this hassle next time!

EDIT: She didn't get a text either.

    Hi
Just to add my tale of woe.
    Bill date - 14 June + 30 days = 13 July

Posted our cashback offer on the 27 June, it was not tracked be Royal Mail. Advised by E2Save to resend with a covering letter which we did on the 07 July, it was still not tracked by Royal Mail. However on the 13 July we were sent a text saying that the claim had been recieved.

On the 28 July we were sent another text saying that the application had been succesful and the cheque would be with us in 14 days.

Today we recieved a letter from E2Save dated 27th July stating our claim had been unsuccesful as it arrived outside the 30 day limit. This had also been checked by their appeals department. If we wish to appeal to put it in writing.

Phoned this morning and now awaiting for their cashback team to get back to me after 10am when they open.

Am going away on my holidays today so the timing of this could be a lot better.

    Ho Hum vent over

  • as long as you provide them details of the tracking numbers that prove you posted within 30 days it is my understanding from what others have said that they honour the claims- it is only if you have lost the tracking numbers or didnt send it recorded that you may not be able to get your cashback back.

Hope this helps- if it does please say thanks!

Obviously the "helpful and positive" response (in my post above) that I got from Royal Mail about someone being disciplined for not getting signatures for the letters is total BS.

Have e-mailed the person again to see what the hell is going on.

I will not rest until Royal Mail start getting signatures for these claims, otherwise whats the point of sending them recorded?!?!

VardreRFC, make sure you claim for both of those recorded deliveries if they are saying they have not been received. Its the onluy way to make them sit up and listen if they get hit in the pocket!!

Forgot to say, if this is the case, just ask on here. Loads of people have send recorded stuff to them and not got a signature. Just use their tracking number and CPW will never know!

I just thought I'd share with you my experience to date of e2save as they were recommended on this site (note - I havent even got as far as trying to claim my cashback which it appears is most people's problems with them).

In mid July I ordered a Motorola SLVR Red phone + car charger on Vodafone through them and everything went nice and smoothly at first (or so I thought), except they sent the wrong car charger.

I phoned their customer services and after 45 mins got through and they agreed to send the right one through and I should return the incorrect one at my own cost but in exchange they would waive the £7 price difference between what I'd been charged and what they should have charged.

About a week later I noticed I couldnt use WAP or picture messaging so got onto vodafone as I know they can SMS you the configuration. They sent that through but still no joy so I called vodafone back. On examination of the phone Vodafone explained that I'd been sent an 02 handset instead of a vodafone one and told to send it back. Apparently the operating system is different on 02 SLVRs so even with the correct settings the WAP will never work.

I'm now awaiting my 4th handset (all three so far have been incorrect 02 handsets), I've not had the correct charger through, I've spent well over 3 hours on their support line. Last week they were due to send a handset to me on Tues but they tried to deliver on Monday instead when I was out. After speaking to a team leader at their customer services I was due to receive a new handset yesterday or today and it hasnt turned up. 30 mins on the phone and it turns out for some reason the courier sent the handset back to the e2save depot instead of to me so thats 2 days sat in waiting with no joy.

Their customer service line never takes less than 15 minutes - usually closer to 40 mins to get through and it is their policy not to transfer callers through to supervisors but to request a callback within 48 hours.

I can only imagine what fun people have had with the vouchers - I'm absolutely fuming that they cant even send out the correct phone to the correct address in over a month's worth of trying.

I really don't think that this site should be recommending e2save given the number of problems people have had with them. I certainly will be warning off anyone I know thinking of using them.
