e2save problem (merged threads)

A few of you may remember a while ago on the e2save thread that got killed, I was gathering recorded delivery numbers to make a group complaint to Royal Mail about the fact that recorded deliveries to E2Save never get signed for.
For those who are interested, after much hassle I eventually got the following reply:
Dear Mr XXXXXX
I write in regards to the problems that you have experienced when
sending
Recorded Delivery items to e2save.
I fully appreciate how important it is that we obtain a signature upon
delivery, as this is the main reason for using our Recorded service. I
can
confirm that the Delivery Office Manager has carried out a full
investigation regarding this failure and has found that these errors
occured as a result of human error on the behalf of the Delivery
Officer.
The Delivery Office Manager has informed me that the Officer
responsible
has been interviewed and that the relevant action has been taken in
line
with Royal Mails conduct code, to ensure that this error does not occur
again. I am sorry to inform you that I am unable to provide you with
further details regarding the action taken, due to the data protection
act.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about this problem.
I hope that you are satisfied with the action I have taken. If you
still
have concerns, please get back in touch quoting our reference number
1-1886XXXXXX.
Regards
Kirsty Coggill
Team Leader
This letter was received back on 17th July.
I would be interested to hear if anyone has sent stuff recorded to e2save again since 17th July and it has / hasn't been signed for!!!

Thanks for the update on Royal Mail. I've sent recorded mail to e2save. Will let you know if it gets signed for.0

The royal mail service to CPW/e2save is awful. They hardly record any of the deliveries on to their system. In which case everyone should claim a loss from royal mail (procedure is simple) and will get you your money back and stamps. All they do is send u a letter and envelope to send them your recodred delivery slip. Atleast this way royalmail will take note, when they see hundreds of people claiming losses of post due to their own fault for not providing the service paid for!!0

jaxxy00 wrote:Ive got 3 contracts with e2save and 2 with carphonewarehouse. The 12th bill i sent off for the last cashback from carphonewarehouse on 2 contracts (never had a problem with the other cashbacks on these contracts) and also the first bill for two of the contracts with e2save and also a reminder one as the first wasnt received.
So ive sent 5 recorded delivery letters in the last month or so and non of them have got there. I spoke to my post office lady and she said ring the Wednesbury sorting office and find out if theres a problem their end. Ive done that this morning and told the man i have sent 5 letters recorded delivery which are all missing, he then said 'are they all for carphone warehouse at P.O. Box 4259' so i said yes why.
He then went on to tell me that as of last week they have changed the office where they are dealt with as the Wednesbury office is too small to handle them all. He said they are getting 800-900 recorded delivery letters daily (yes daily) for CPW, E2save etc at PO Box 4259. As of last week they are getting sent to Dunstable office, he thinks it is, to be dealt with.
So when you consider that amount of post then that could go some way to explain the holdups.
Just an update on the above which will give you all a bit of hope.
One of the cashback claims i sent i received a cheque today for £100. This claim was sent on 28th June and i havent as yet had a text about it. The D600 claim which was sent a week before i still havent heard a thing about. The other 2 claims for 7600's from carphonewarehouse sent on 3rd July we have received texts for but as yet no cheques. Will keep you updated as and when i get them. So dont give up yet. P.S. Royal Mail site still shows as not delivered.0 -
I sent mine on the 25th of july special delivery .. Royal mail website showed my item as deliverd before 1 pm on the 26th.As of today there is no electronic proof of delivery( i.e a signature available ) on the rm website, got a text from e2save yesterday( barely a week later) that claim as been received an i shoul allow 30 days for a response.
I think the £4.10 spent on special delivery is well worth it0 -

If you let me know the tracking numbers of any items sent since 17th July that have NOT been signed for then I will contact the customer relations manager who I have been speaking to and try once again to sort this out!
Once you let me know the number, you should then claim against RM that the item has been lost and you can claim compensation for it, although obviously they won't pay out for a lost mobile phone bill so what you claim is lost is up to you!! :A
