e2save problem (merged threads)

To be fair, of the eight cashback requests (2 contract one after the other), I only had one that went a bit wrong. Even that, I received the normal text acknowledging receipt of my bill. It's just that first cheque got lost and a reissue was never materialised and third time got luck. Waiting time for each was up to 2 months.
Just waiting for my final cashback now and new phone here I come!
By the way, I used just Recorded Delivery for my cashback requests.
e2save still not answering my quidco enquiry after a year though. Got my phone and transaction tracked. However, battery wasn't holding so HAD to get a replacement - same contract. I think that affected the tracking......oh well just can't expect too much I guess..0 -
Hi all,
I had one of the normal cashback (NOT Price match)with e2save, the 1st (June/07) and 2nd (Aug/07) cashback had no problem at all, I sent my third one in this month and rejected by them said that I was too early to claim, have they changed T&C on the old cashback?
Purchased & Received Date: 19/01/2007
First Bill Date: 02/Feb/2007
according to the 'Chqback calendar' with my Wecome Pack, I should claim in June, Aug, Oct, Dec.
Do you think I should claim again or should I wait till next bill 02/Nov.
Many thanks0 -
I've had this on one contract. I've told them I will sue and not put back my claim months. They are messing around and are totally stupid. ALL their t&c are a mess now. I COULD claim a month later but have no intention of doing so. However, you have to weigh up how many more claims you need to make, how far you're prepared to go, whether you have proof of the original t&c and claim months you were given (and followed successfully up to now) AND the fact that you now have a written confirmation of their NEW dates so can sue them if they don't pay using those. Previously, claims made a month later (as they now insist upon) were declined and lost. On principle they set out that basis and I'm not changing my terms half-way through to suit them.0

Thanks mobilejunkie.
they never mentioned the new date for my 3rd claim, only state it was too early. I only have 2 claims left ( 4 in total 12 months contract)), I am going to re-send the claim again and as you said I have no intention to claim a month later.0 -
Not sure if there's any point in sending the same one again. A Letter Before Action giving them (say) 14 days to change their mind and pay (and resend with that) OR claim a month later instead. They are saying that since you didn't get a bill in January, January doesn't count now - even though it always did. It's because E2Save has moved its processing to the people who deal with Onestopphoneshop cashback claim processing - and THEY did things rather differently. If you have the calendar (and instructions) and (hopefully) printed the dates from your on-line account before they disappeared it would help your case if you decide to fight. However, there's no guarantee! I particularly despise the fact they have (VERY) recently written some t&c and tucked them away on the on-line accounts instead of what WAS on there. Of course, I ALWAYS copy everything at the time so I can porve the change. They are disorganised, confused and trying to make people bend to whatever they decide to do next. They don't understand their own so-called "price-match" t&c (partly because they simply lifted them word for word from a conmeptitor without understanding them) and are trying to cover their tracks as they go.
So far they haven't actually refused my claim. I've had many, many cashback contracts and never been declined. However, with one they have told me I need to claim later and I've told them where to go and what I will do IF they don't pay. If you have a free legal helpline or service with your insurance it might be worth running it by them. I wouldn't want you to end up losing your cashback if my personal stance isn't enforceable - though I'm pretty confident I can argue my case in court if they choose that route.0 -
I dont have any old T&Cs copied. but I do have one of the old cheque back offer leaflet, on the back of it, there is a Personal cheque back calendar, i followed that calendar for the last 2 claims, and I also have the chq No.s & date issued for the last claims. If they still refused the claim being too early again then I will take action. I will keep you update. many thanks0

Good luck! The personal cheque back calendar is quite clear in itself (order month = month one for cashback claims and so on). The fact they paid the June claim is another indication they have changed their t&c. Many people on other contracts were declined cashbacks precisely because they did exactly what E2Save are now saying you should do (harder to prove, but perfectly true!).0

I manage a number of deals for my family and my brother has the same problem. Its on the 12 month free virgin deal, to claim at month 6, 8, 10, 12
Connection date 26/03/2007
1st claim 3rd August - successful
2nd claim 3rd October - received letter today claiming it was too early.
Plan of action:
1) Phone asking them to rectify the problem immediately
2) Letter before action
3) sue
Unfortunately they removed the claim months from my brother's online account when all the problems with e2save started so I didn't manage to take a print of the screen, I did however make a note of the dates originally and have claimed accordingly.
In any case I have the cheque back calendar plus they paid first claim which should be enough to sue.
About to send my first Price Match claim. At least for this deal I have everything copied - T&C, print screen of account page etc.0 -
You may need them! They aren't following the so-called "price-match" t&c and I'm a little surprised there haven't been many rejections on here yet from the first lot of claims. I reckon about half will be declined - but then, they DO change their t&c from day to day depending on who's processing them or confused by the whole thing. Pity you didn't copy those dates, but hopefully the other facts will be enough. I actually think they're mad to fight this; they gain very little by the change, upset existing loyal customers who are still besotted with how they USED to operate AND are likely to lose in court and have to pay a lot more anyway! Still, brains were never cpw's strong point.0

Just sent of the first claim for the price match deal this morning via first class recorded delivery. I included the T&C and the print screen of account page together with first bill (ported number) and October bill all stapled together.0
