e2save problem (merged threads)

Got a query regarding final bills and upgrades. My 12 months were up on 5th March. On the 3rd I rang o2 to accept an upgrade offer, requesting that it start on the 6th, ie my billing date.
However, it appears that they began it on the 3rd as my bill is for £17 rather than £20 (less 2.5% vat cut) due to a credit for 2 days line rental.
Now I've completed my 12 months in o2's eyes, and I haven't technically switched tarriffs as I'm on the £35 tarrif as before, only now I get a discount on line rental and more mins/texts etc. But my bill shows a lower amount than I had before.
Should I be ok with my cashback claim as I've got £62 riding on this? I'll be complaining to o2 regardless as they got a few little things wrong on my upgrade.
Update: Sent my bill anyway with the claim form. Got a text a few days later confirming receipt, and got the cheque last week.
Wouldn't advise anyone updates before full 12 months are up, but if it's done in error like mine, send it anyway and hope for the best!0 -

How are e2s performing now? I'm looking at a very expensive cashback deal with them, but if they are likely to go under or pull a flanker on the cashback I'd get stung big time.
Can anyone update? Is it woth the gamble? I'm good at claiming, but need to know the latest tricks...0 -

I doubt they'll go bust, unless Carphone Warehouse offload them, but my experiences with them have been awful. They'll use every trick in the book to avoid paying - regularly claiming not to have received claims, for example, even when Royal Mail say otherwise. Then they want you to send the claim again.
I gave up with them and negotiated a far better deal direct with O2 (works out at £3.75 pm and no cashback to worry about). I guess many others here will have done much the same thing to avoid e2save hassle.
The last UK Customer Satisfaction Index survey showed Carphone/Talktalk as the 8th worst organisation for customer service in the UK. Basically, once they've got your money, they don't care.0 -

e2save is just a trading name of Carphone Warehouse - It is actually CPW you are dealing with, and who your agreement is with.0 -
I expect the reason this thread has "gone quiet" is because cpw haven't had any decent deals for nearly a year (with one or two exceptions if you know when and where to look). Apart from that, they have been using dirty tricks for so long in a determined effort to ruin their reputation that they finally succeeded - despite intermitent defence from the lucky few who weren't selected for the new approach to customers adopted when E2Save took over Onestop entirely around June 2007. Having said that, they appear to have stabilised recently somewhat - but since their deals are generally utter rubbish and mere hype I doubt there are too many who have been using them for cashback deals anyway.0

I received the last of my quaterly £90 cashbacks last month (£360 in total for a 12 months free line rental deal). The only problem I had was that my last claim was denied for not including all of my itemised bill. I hadn't included it for my first three claims either (just the first page) but it had always been fine. I sent the rest of my bill off straight away and they changed my last payment to approved and sent the cheque.0

Dealing with them again now, for the first time in just over 2 years.
No cashback claims yet, but I've just got a cracking deal from them which actually pays me for a decent two year contract.
They've changed a lot. They now answer emails quickly, customer services seem responsive, and the cashback system isn't shrouded in mystery any more.
Thanks Ofcom!0 -
have 2 contracts with them and no problems. last 2 payments:cheques came thru door 11 and 14 days after posting claims.0

ATM I am with mobiles.co.uk and D-A-P, but my previous 3 concurrent 18/24-month deals were with e2save. No problems whatsoever.
Just in case I used a recorded mail.0
