e2save problem (merged threads)

Always worth a try. Amazing that E2Save coughed up; must be getting concerned that the flack they are now getting from the complaints to ofcom could lead to a formal investigation. It certainly isn't because they care about their reputation or their customers!0

One unexpected bonus for anyone who has successfully sued e2save for the full amount owing following a fundamental breach on an o2 contract.
When the time comes to negotiate a retention deal (ie when giving in notice to the network, one month prior to the end of the minimum contract) you can accept a deal (if it's what you want), and it is immediately put in place (eg - old deal £35/month replaced by a retention deal at £5/month).
This means you don't have to pay the last month at the full price - even though e2save will have already paid it to you as part of the settlement of the claim.
And maybe e2save suffer a financial "punishment" by way of a clawback of their commission from the network as the original contract has not been completed! (Their cashback contracts always say you must complete the full original contract with no changes).0 -
If I cancel my contract at the end of the 12 months and haven't spent any money within the last month (i.e. Only used inclusive minutes) will I still get a bill?0

Yes .0

i have a final bill to submit to e2save for my cashback,i am advised it will state 0 to pay there, will this be okay to send in to claim the final cashback0
-
Sounds like the wrong bill to me. Normally the final claim uses the previous one! However, if you are correct (sounds doubtful to me!) it won't affect your claim. Unless, of course, E2Save decide to try to make something of it!0

MB, I'm interested in why you think the final claim uses the previous bill.
I'm about to make my final claim - 25 feb as I signed up 25 feb 2008 and the t's&c's of my offer say I need to claim 12 months from connection and send a bill no older than 28 days.
I therefore intend to send this off around 1st march once I've received my final bill dated 25/2/2009.
I have already written to O2 to cancel my contract from the end of the year and they will issue me with the final bill showing that I need to pay £0 unless I make any calls above my allotted mins.
If you think this is wrong please let me know asap as I still have time to submit the claim with Jan's bill.0 -
Then your final bill won't show £0. They charge you in advance and you end up with a credit on the final bill - which you need to reclaim. It would be most unusual to receive a bill with "£0". Either way, if it is the correct bill it should not affect your claim.0

Ah... there's the rub! Yes, you have fallen into the trap. Asking for the pc code can terminate a contract early as i understand it - thus the £0 on the final bill. I have never gone for a pac code or ported a number - with cashback deals too much can go wrong (especially with this particular shark!). Still, of late they have been a little more cirumspect (due to concern over the rising number of complaints to ofcom and other interested parties possibly). I wouldn;t draw anything to their attention (they aren't exactly efficient at the best of times so don't flag it for them). I would add that they certainly do monitor this forum and (in particular) this thread.0
