So where exactly do you find the 'proper' T&C's to use? In an e-mail they send AFTER you've committed to it, or am I missing something?

Read the threads. Email content is rubbish. People obviously don't take sufficient care when ordering. I have been warning people for a year about this - all they have to do is read and believe what I've been saying all that time rather than finding out much later when it's too late. The Price-Match t&c can still be found on the site if you sepnd some time searching. It's not THAT difficult!

If and when you do belatedly discover the actual t&c you agreed to, you will find it says that original bills are required and (I quote) -

"Where a valid claim has not been received by us within one calendar month of the required bill, which is the closing date for your claim. You will not be entitled to any part of the Cash Back offered. Cash back files are closed and cannot be reopened in these cases."

Yet again I warn people; those thinking E2Save are a "reputable" company (as I've read 2-3 times recenlty) or who think they know what they're doing are quite likely to come unstuck. The company is intent on giving out WRONG and misleading information on the website, in the emails AND on individual accounts when they happen to actually work. Deal with them at your peril unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Here is another prime example of an experienced person who thought they did and have now found out to their cost that they failed to follow my groundrules properly:-

  • I'm preparing to send in my first claim under a Price Match deal. Now, I printed off and absolutely all the paperwork when I signed up in Dec 2007; however 4 months later I'm now a bit freaked by the printed 'warning' about Pricematch contracts having different T&Cs to normal contracts. Now I'm pretty sure that what I've printed out are indeed the special PriceMatch T&Cs, but with nothing in the documents themselves to confirm this, I need to be 100% sure.

This is interesting... before posting the above, I visited e2save's site and filled in a query form, fully expecting to hear nothing back. However, they emailed me and said they'd send me my T&Cs by post. So then I receive a Special Delivery letter (?!!) from them containing a new copy of their Welcome booklet, and a new copy of the Claim forms. With the Loughborough address printed on them, not the Crewe one as on the originals. And the booklet includes a warning to use the original claim form provided. (No actual T&Cs sent).

So no doubt they'd refuse to honour my claim if I used the Loughborough address, which of course I won't (although I'd almost like to see them try it on in court!)

I think they would in fact honour it; however, redirection from Crewe generally (but not invariably according to the odd comment on here!) works just fine. I trust you know what you're doing with all the other things though (which is where most people go wrong!). As I said earlier - find, print and read the legal t&c on the website. They ARE there for those who care to LOOK!

Are these the cashback T&C's from E2Save?

    http://www.e2save.com/helpdesk/cashback#

    or these?

    http://www.e2save.com/popups/giftinfo.php?giftcode=DPLR469850

Having a bit of trouble finding the proper T&C's.

I've found the price-match T&C's but how do I know which deals are price-match and which aren't?

I've read from page 23 onwards but don't think anyone has actually linked to the E2Save Cashback T&C's.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for this excellent thread, it has been very helpful.

I sent e2save an LBA on 29th April giving them 7 days to pay up. The deadline passed and yesterday I filled out the MCOL for the full amount.

To my surprise, today, a cheque for the auto chequeback arrived for £147.

Now, considering the MCOL hasn't actually gone through as its a weekend, should I try and cancel, hopefully with a refund, or should I go through with it to get the full amount considering they didn't meet the LBA deadline ?

    Your help is much appreciated

Damo1888; I'm afraid you should be able to answer all those questions from the start. Price-match t&c are clearly very different and labelled on the site. The rest vary according to when you took out a particular deal and if you don't know what you're on and can prove it you have acted very unwisely! I give a lot of help on here but I'm afraid MY time is limited and people have to take care and accept responsibilty if they take out any cashback deals against my advice - which is why I spent a fair amount of my time writing my guide months and months ago. People CAN fathom things out for themselves if THEY invest a fraction of the time I (and others) have - reading from page whatever is extremely limited when it's YOUR money at stake. There are (now) doczens of other threads on this company which you should also read in their entirety if you want to ensure you get YOUR money!

I haven't taken out a contract with them and am looking for the CURRENT T&C's.

So, the T&C's that get sent out with the phone are to be IGNORED, the T&C's sent in the e-mail are to be IGNORED and the only T&C's to believe are on the website. I've looked high and low on E2Save.com for them but am yet to find them.

The only cashback T&C's I can find on the website are the ones under the cashback helpdesk which are very short and give hardly any information.

Wrong I'm afraid. The so-called "Price Match" t&C ALWAYS made it clear that one lost claim invalidates the rest. Perhaps you aren't looking at the legal t&c?! Anyone thinking otherwise and taking legal action IF one claim was CORRECTLY denied will lose.

This is not necessarily true. The T&Cs may state that one false claim invalidates all future claims, however this term would likely be ruled an unfair term in a consumer contract, and hence unenforceable.

If the cheque had arrived yesterday would you still have issued the MCOL?

If so, carry on, if not, then ring the court first thing on Monday and they will cancel the claim and send you a cheque for the full fee paid.
