Agreed, ins co. will cover all third party costs for passenger/wall owner, where neccessary. It's the policy holder who will lose out.
Having your insurance voided and a drink driving ban is really going to sting him in the pocket once he can drive again.

Yeah he knows. The best thing for him is to sort his debt out while he can and hopefully save for a car when he's allowed back on the road.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0

Agreed, ins co. will cover all third party costs for passenger/wall owner, where neccessary. It's the policy holder who will lose out.

The lady on the phone told him that in drink drive cases they cancel the policy outright. They are sending him some paperwork in regards to this.
He has GAP insurance, which is also void if drink driving.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Ouch. I can't think of much he can do, looks like it will turn out to be a very expensive and long term lesson.
