I was not taking the mick, I just think that if people are capable of writing correctly then they should. It is not surprising that people question the education you have received when you write in the manner that you have. I have not spoken to you like an idiot but you are not doing yourself an favours here.
I agree. I also have a degree and a masters and as an educated woman, it would take real effort on my part to write as if I had never been to school. Most people write something and then go back over it, correcting any mistakes. I guess OP does the opposite :rotfl:.0 -
I understand, but however they are strapped, they have to be satisfied that the patient receives the care he or she needs before they can discharge.
Another thought, do you live in a house, bungalow or flat? If it is a house, is the bathroom upstairs as this could be a problem if he can't manage the stairs.
Have you got friends that would be willing to help out? Someone may be able to pop in while you are out.0 -

We simply will have to get on with it ,if i dont work i will not be able to pay the bills ,and as for attending uni its a must .Will be looking into annual leave for the first week from my nhs job but as that stands we are so overloaded its doubtful i'll be able to take the time off
Not really. There's a difference between a simple typo, as in my post and sentence after sentence of incredibly poor spelling and grammar, as in yours.0 -
Paisly, sirce I suggested seeing your GP, you haven't said whether you have spoken to your GP about after care or are going to? At my surgery they have an OT that the GP can refer a patient to. When I saw the OT at the surgery a while ago I was offered help at home (which I declined at the time - pride!
) but she was offering all kinds of help, from doing chores, even someone just calling and spending time with me for a short while. 0 -
ahh another who can dish it and cant take it eh? shame shame ,what an educated women you are .
this is the last time i comment on spelling ,because really its just sad0 -
Tobruk : i will see our gp and ask ,the reason i havent is due to speaking to OOH GP and Nurses at work who really said we wouldnt be entitled to anything ,but you are right it does no harm to check with someone else0

That is the thing - it does no harm asking someone else. I know you meet doctors and nurses at work (is it at a hospital?) but they may not know what is on offer somewhere else! They have told you 'you're not entitled to anything', your own GP has a duty of care to his or her patients and care for the individual.
I didn't realise that you could be referred to an OT at the doctor's surgery and they had one there and not have to go to any hospital. Surgery practices are changing all the time and offering different services.0
