2nd book of 2015 finished while soaking in the bath on Saturday. Lucas on Life by Jeff Lucas. It was pretty good. Lots of anecdotes from his work as a preacher. There were funny moments and others that made me cry. Having said that it doesn't take much to make me cry! I'm still working my way through Harry Potter again but I keep falling asleep with it!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Still reading Allan Quatermain, I'm not used to reading on a Kindle.
I also have Ben Aaronvitch's latest book Foxglove Summer, which I borrowed from the library as I was eager to read it, but not wishing to purchase the hardback (The other books are in paperback), so I'm currently reading two fiction books at the moment!0 -
Kezbabybabe - I love Ben Aaronovitch's Peter Grant books! I read Rivers of London, Moon over Soho and Whispers Underground as library books, and got bought Broken Homes for Christmas 2013. I'm now waiting for Foxglove Summer to come into the library.
Have you seen Doc Brown's (Ben Bailey Smith) rap Rivers of London?
Had to take a break in the middle of Tom Pollock as I have a copy of Stephen King's Thinner borrowed that I have realized I need to finish by the weekend! :eek:Keep reading books!

I enjoyed that book.... And he has written several others, I've been lucky enough to hear him talk and he is rather inspirational. As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

I then read Esio Trot as I going to try and read all the Roald Dahl books I have this year - its been a v.long time since I've read them.

Finished with Jack Higgins Midnight runner. As I guessed from the start, not my cup of tea, too many guns and blunt shootings...
I have just started Barkbelly by Cat Weatherill. This is my daughter's favourite early book. Some of the "sorted-outs" I want to read before they move to the school. It starts of as a brilliant story, I feel like asking DD1 if she's sure she doesn't want this in her memory box!First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
Finished - Still Standing - Paul O'Grady's autobiography.
Really enjoyed it. Writes really well with great wit.
