Finished spellbound by Jane green, enjoyed it but it's not a keeper so will go on the to be passed on pile, not sure if to give it to the work reading circle, mum or the CS box.

Got the battle for christabel by Margaret Forster off the pile

  • I finished The Dead Fathers Club by Matt Haig today. It didn't take me too long to get into the way it was written but I never really warmed to the characters and I didn't like how it ended so definitely one for the cs pile.
I'm not sure yet what I will pick up next.

I'm still on The Concrete Blonde but have struggled to find much reading time in the past week so only really started to get into it in the past day or so.

It was my birthday last week and I was thrilled to receive the following (all from my wishlist!):

    The Son - Jo Nesbo
The Telling Error - Sophie Hannah
    The Quest - Nelson DeMille

Can't wait to get started on these (and my Christmas books!) so will allow myself to read one after my current book before getting back to the relics - should keep me going!

Kezbabybabe - I love Ben Aaronovitch's Peter Grant books! I read Rivers of London, Moon over Soho and Whispers Underground as library books, and got bought Broken Homes for Christmas 2013. I'm now waiting for Foxglove Summer to come into the library.

Have you seen Doc Brown's (Ben Bailey Smith) rap Rivers of London?

Thank you for sharing that. I hadn't come across it before. Very good. :)

I finished both the Allan Quatermain and Foxglove Summer recently. Enjoyed them both in different ways.

Currently reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman much to husband's delight.

Currently on schedule with my Goodreads challenge for this year. :)
  • Just finished Rachels Holiday by Marian Keyes. An author I normally enjoy but for some reason this title just did not click and was a real struggle to get through.

Now started The Forgotten by David Baldacci....and I cannot put it down.Bit of a slow start but it now has me well and truly gripped.

Agreed - quite a slow starting book but worth perservering with!

Think i'll see if the library has it as i really dont want to be spending £7 on a kindle book, or £8 on a cleaning book! ha

I have the book and to be honest, a lot of what it contains is written about in the Konmarie thread in the old style forum. Also in the thread are Lots of links to YouTube clips showing the Kommarie way of tidying and sorting too.

Thank you for that, I'll go and have a read of the thread later. Funnily enough my teenage sons suddenly started folding their t shirt drawers differently to how I do them and it does make sense I used to fold them flat after ironing and pile them on top of each other. The boys fold them smaller and put them in the drawer on their sides so you can see which t shirt is which and take out the one you want with out disturbing the rest, probably where they got this from. The things teen boys look up on the Internet :rotfl:here's the government telling us they are all searching !!!!!! and they are really seeking out we ways of organising their rooms.

I have just finished the Kingsmaker Daughter by Phillipa Gregory it was great to read about the plantagents from this persons view - Anne Neville wife of Richard 111 and phillipa does write a good yarn, this was a library book, but there is method in my madness as I am reading her books in year order, I need the next from the library and then I have several to read and donate.

Now reading The Casual Vacancy - J K Rowling - this is one I will be able to donate !
