One of the best cast films ever IMO - the only time I think watching a film matched the characters in my head! I loved all 3 of the booksBubblesmum wrote: »Morning all

Finished 'when will there be good news'. Enjoyed beginning and second half of the book. Found middle a little slow. Score 3.5/5
Started a new book by Elizabeth Elgin - aunt has given it to me. It is about a girl who joins the land army.
On Wednesday I'm going round to a friends house to pick up a box of books - mainly historical novels - she is moving. This won't help reduce my pile - but they are all free!2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Finished Lorna Luft ....Me and My Shadows - a family memoir
This was rather heart breaking as it was such a candid memoir of her life dominated by chaos and addiction first as a child with her mother Judy Garland then though her first marriage.
I am happy that having seen her in a small jazz club she is now healthy and happy
Only 5 nooks to go for Goodreads target

I'm almost finished with "The Twin" by Gerbrand Bakker. It's a story about a farmer whose twin brother had died in his late teens which was the reason why he had to take over the family farm. He meets his brother's fiance again much later. I can recommend it!First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0
