Hello readers! Sorry I've been awol for a while, I've been (still am really) very poorly
. I have managed to read a few books during this time but due to my treatment have been finding it difficult to concentrate. On a positive note I'm hopefully now on the road to recovery and I'm hopeful I can get my head in s book once again- hurrah!!
I'm currently reading hunger by Michael grant- it's the second in a 6 book series. I read the first while in hospital having treatment while I was able to. I'm also reading little woman on my phone if I get caught without a book.
Hope everyone is enjoying getting through "to read" pile!

Hi everyone! I picked off of the TBR pile on Monday, started it and then realised that I've actually already read it! Moved on to one of the Wallander books and hoping I finish it by Monday so I can take something else on holiday with me.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I've not been here for ages. I have recently read Before I Go To Sleep, which seemed to take ages to finish. I stopped half way through for a week or so. I thought it was ok and an interesting premise but I also predicted the end quite early on so wasn't surprised by the twist unfortunately. Still its a book that can now go back to its owner
I have just started A Christmas Carol as I've never read it and its been on my Kindle for ages - its not helping with the pile of books but its festive and was free tho
So far its good and I'm finding the language a lot easier than I expected.No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

I've been doing quite well with reading my books recently but they're now all boxed up for a house move (in boxes I hope someone else can lift because they're too heavy for me!) so I've got Songs of the HUmpback Whale to finish and a Nicholas Sparks book out to start. I'm spending quite a lot of time on the bus at the moment so I've plenty time to read!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Happygreen- many thanks! Penguins hope the move goes smoothly so you and the book boxes arrive safely! I'm still working my way through hunger but I've not really got into it to be honest. Might start something else instead, just not sure what yet! Hope everyone is enjoying their books.

Read some more pages of Russel Kane's The Humorist on the train today but I'm not convinced that I actually want to go on with it just now. A bit much bad language for my taste atm, so I'll proceed with "The twin", author's name tbcFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

I finished Three Musketeers, it was okay in the end, but being a bit wordy it was hard to get into really.
I'm now reading Northern Lights by Philip Pullman, that's going much better! I've seen Golden Compass, so unfortunately the characters look their film equivalent.0 -

What a good choice, I must read the trilogy again! I regretted watching the movie although it was well made.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0
