  • Woohoo! Just discovered one of my favourite authors is doing a promotional tour in November - and I might actually be able to go!! She's been to my home town twice before and I've been busy doing things, but my diary is empty for these dates! :)

  • Jodi Picoult. She's doing 7 dates in the UK. And 2 are in West Yorkshire :) I love her books and I often weep through them so can't wait for the new one. Though I tend to wait for them to come out in paperback so I can carry them around in my handbag!

*makes mental note to make next book a Jodi Picoult cos it's a while since I've read one*

Not been feeling well today. Came home a little earlier and took some paracetamol and then laid on my bed reading my book. Finished 'Wives and lovers'. Enjoyed the book. I was so pleased that Victoria finally got the upperhand on David and how everything ended for the other two sisters - Clara and Anne. Going to read a John Grisham book next - Sycamore Row - brother bought me it second hand for my birthday in June.

I finished 'The amazing story of Adolphus Tips' today. It was pretty good but completely different to what I expected. It was a true story for a start and much less about Tips and more about her owner. Interesting though.
I am going to start 'Before I go to sleep' next. Its one I've borrowed so would be good to give it back! It would also clear a space on my shelves.

I loved that one! I've not decided yet if I want to see the movie, it might spoil a brilliant book...

I borrowed it quite a while ago and it was on my wish list a long time before that but when I saw they'd made a film I thought I should read it before someone watches it and spoils the book!

I have today finished reading The Ghost of Grania O'Malley while on the bus. As always with Michael Morpurgo books it was well written and thought out and really got to me emotionally cos I'm a wimp! Not sure what I'll read next. My friend has another book coming out soon so I'll be downloading that, but need something to go at in the meantime!
