Only 3 away from finishing my Goodread Reading Challenge 2014. I'm currently catching up on reading my bible, as I'm about a month behind on that (it a daily thing). In between times I am also reading the 4 Seasons of Marriage, another Christian based book from the people that brought us Love Languages. This one is on my Kindle App, so it's always with me at least!
I recently read through the guides from our honeymoon, which was interesting.0 -
Tonight I have started a new book from my pile - secrets and shadows by Mary Nickson. Received it from my aunt. So it was a freebie. Will pass it on after - so will be one less on my shelf.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I've now finished Stephen Booth Dancing with the Virgins", which was a slow starter for me but once I got the hang of the characters a good WhoDunnit with many twists. Will look out for his other books in the Audio library.
Follow up at the bedside is The Humorist by Russel Kane which starts our really dark and Notes and Queries, a Guardian Book of Places. The answers make me laugh so much and are so interesting. I know who will get that as a wee present, lol.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -

Haven'got much further than the first page yet!!! But today I started another book - My best friend's girl- 5 hours later nearly half way through it - have used nearly half a box of tissues and don't want to put it down - it is about a women whose best friend has died of Leukaemia and has asked her to adopt her God daughter. The daughter was staying with the friend's parents who were mistreating/ abusing the girl . It is about how she coped with parenthood being thrust upon her. Dorothy Koomson is the author.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I just got caught by a good sales pitch and paid 7 Dollars P&P for a "free book" with a "free on-line course" from a motivational speaker in the States. The Motivation Manifesto. Never mind, the course is interesting and should I not like the book I can give it to OH who can always do with a bit more motivation , lol.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Ooo what a great find. I love reading and read everyday. I love crime fiction, especially detective stuff. I read all the dennis lehane books and then went onto luke delaney. He was fantastic. I'm now onto Stuart Macbride and I can't put his books down, I only have 1 left out of 10. Onto Jo Nesbo next though, It'll be a change.
I've only managed about 18 books this year, but better than nothing.
My plan is to read all the Jo Nesbo books which I have sitting there unread, and then go onto the pile of Mark Billingham ones I have. I once had a buying frenzy on ebay and got about 30 books Haha.
Any other suggestions for my cup of tea?Saving for that dream holiday0 -

Welcome! I don't know if you've discovered Sophie Hannah and Susan Hill? I like their approach to writing crime fiction with more focus on the characters than the simple "WhoDoneIt". I used to love Val McDermid and Nesbo but things are a bit too gory for my gentle soul these days ,lol.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0
