added everyone whos been kind enough to offer friendship on goodreads - thank you

finished chicken soup and have started pornography, by simon stephens DS1 asked me to get it for him for school, hes read it already and offered it me before he takes it into school for drama. its about the run up to the 7/11 bombings in london

finished and absolutely HATED this book, glad it was short as i would have stuck it any longer. it was crude distasteful and really didnt make any sense what so ever to me

i would not recommend it and im glad ive left school if this is what passes as required reading nowadays
    SPC~12 ot 124

    morning all!

    yesterday i finished:

#16 Of Bees and Mist by Erick Setiawan 4/5 (which is a keeper)

    now started:

The Secret History by Donna Tartt

    :coffee:

Edit: also forgot to mention that my generous neighbour has recently jacked in his job at the printer, so no more free books for us :( however this is good news for my bookshelves, and should make it easier for me to resist accumulating more of the little devils :)

Finished "The Vintage Teacup Club" today. Very enjoyable. I'm not sure what to read next - think I need to read another from the tbr pile to even up the number of tbr vs library books so will peruse my bookshelves tonight.

I downloaded a blog thinking it was a book onto my Kindle. It was called 'Blood, Sweat and Tea' and it was a pretty long read, a London ambulance man's story of job. It was actually really interesting. Highly recommended!

    *shuffles into the room*

i rediscovered a little charity shop in the town i work in at lunchtime and two books JUMPED into my hand, they did *innocent look* :o

hail mary and all that :o

BUT one is a Jo Nesbo (which I've heard good things about...even if it is #7 in the series and will have to wait until i find the previous ones :rotfl:) and the other is the graphic novel of Terry Pratchett's 'The Colour of Magic'...and we all know how pixies feel about Mr TP (not my Mr TP, but the literary one. if i felt for him like i feel for DH i'd be arrested :D )

so i'm up to 43 books acquired this year and still only 16 read.

HOWEVER, i have picked out a selection from my collection (she's a poet!) that i might get rid of...around 39 of them if i can pluck up the guts. so that would mitigate it a little :)
