  • I have just finished "Heist Society" by Ally Carter. Really like her books - I was worried I'd not like this one as it's a new character and scenario from her others but I quickly got caught up in the characters and the world they are in.

Not sure what to read next. I have to confess that a new book has found its way into my house "Dark Inside" by Jeyn Roberts. Tho I got it for 89p from a charity shop and my Mum paid for it so I didn't exactly buy it even though it is taking up shelf space. There are some books on my xmas list but no others have been bought for months :D

  • Can I join in this challege to, I'm running out of room in my bookcase and there are loads of new books out that I am tempted to buy. I'm going to have a quick count up and not buy anymore EVER. I have a library card which I haven't used for a few years so once I've read all the books I own I'm only going to get books from the library.

Hi redbooties  I'm impressed with your discipline - I joined the library this year and although I've not bought many new books I also haven't actually read any of the ones I own!!! Oops! :o

After reading the back of about 6 books last night I've finally chosen to read "The Ask and the Answer" by Patrick Ness - 2nd in the Walking Chaos trilogy.

  • I've had a count up and I've only got 12 left to read, the rest on my bookcase are cook books and other practical books along with my Harry potter books which I'm keeping forever. I usually give my books away to my niece as soon as I've read them as shes doing english A-level and has to read loads of books through the year. I'm reading Lord of the rings:- Return of the king at the moment but I normally read crime or horror books.

Just finished moving house - I appear to have gained a bag of books from my parents while they've been helping me move. Need to unpack to see where I'm up to now and will attempt to report back with a complete list of the books I have to read on my shelves.

  • oops! I've been shopping online for people for Christmas and found a set of 16 Michael Morpurgo books for about a fifth of the RRP so have bought them. They might be meant as kids books but I think his books are brilliant. And they're fairly quick reads usually too! I'm currently on the last few pages of Born to Run and have read Escape from Shangri-La and Kaspar, Prince of Cats in the past week. I still need to have a good count up of what I have left to read, though I have asked Santa for a couple of new books too! I might read a grown up book next!

  • Hi everyone! I've been reading Zombie Horror lately, have just finished 'Undead' which is two books in one, Night of the living dead and Return of the living dead. The first one was good, the second not so. I gave up on Jaws and also gave up on Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry so they will be going on Ebay today!

I have started rereading one of my many Richard Laymon books, I think I must have about 40 or so (all of his I think). I've been very good though and not bought any books for a good few months!

I keep looking at that thinking it looks good - would be interesting to know what people think of it.

I very rarely read grown up books - I like how easy to read young adult books are - I don't like too much difficulty or seriousness when I sit down to read!!
