Just finished Heartstone by CJ Sansom - absolutely brilliant! I would recommend it to everybody, and the rest of the series. The only downside was I didn't get to sit in the sun to read it as I remember doing with the last one last year!
Starting the first part of A Dance with Dragons so we shall see if as little happens as the reviews say"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Oh, I forgot to mention I've added yet another book to my pile but I didn't buy it, just spotted it on my Dad's bookcase and he can't read anymore so I've liberated it
It was on my amazon wish list too
Ooh and I'm going to look up this list of 1001 books! Probably shouldn't as it might tempt me to buy more books"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Was poorly last week and managed to finish two books - Love and Marriage by Patricia Scanlan, and The Manning Sisters by Debbie Macomber - both really enjoyable from a mindless chicklit perspective. Nothing grabbing me on my bookshelf at the mo though! Need to find something before I buy something....

Half way through Perfect People by Peter James, really enjoying it.
Decided once it's finished I'm taking back my library books and concentrating on the books I have at home. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I really enjoyed the Time Traveller's Wife although it's so sad in places. It's completely unlike any other book I've read. Have they made a film of it does anyone know?
By the way I should introduce myself! I haven't got a stack of books to read like some of youbut I read a lot and I sort of run a book group (meaning I don't want to run it but if I didn't there'd be no books and no meetings!) and I'm always up for a chat about what people are reading and what they recommend so I hope you don't mind if I join your lovely thread
Cheers

I loved the book as well. There is a film which on the whole stays faithful to the book, it was on TV recently.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

welcome to our little book group Rosy
i watched the film which i enjoyed DD read the book and said book is better thats why im starting again with it.
my 50 for my 50th challenge is based on the good cause knitting i do (mostly through the knit a square on here and also loving hands) my aim is as im 50 this year:eek:, im going to knit 50 items by my birthday, the pattern ive chosen is one close to my heart its a little bodywarmer for prem babies, the pattern was designed by a lovely lady that used to post both on here and loving hands, she sadly passed away recently. Also my brother and his partner had twins born 3 months early last september one came home at christmas the other has had countless operations and is still in hospital 7 months after her birth contuining her fight to good health with the wonderful doctors and nurses there helping her every little step of the way. once ive knitting the items they will be sent to loving hands for distribution to hospitals and special care units where they are needed.SPC~12 ot 124
