Finished The Soliders Wife by Joanna Trollope last night, wasn't overly impressed the characters felt quite flat and weren't particularly likeable, but some parts of it did resonate with me. This morning another of the three books I won last month dropped through the letter box so I'll be starting The Whipping Club by Deborah Henry when I finally finish The Duchess and my OU assignments this week.

Finished Perfect People by Peter James and enjoyed it. Then read Harlan Coben Shelter, finished it in a day, brilliant.

Now reading Peter James, Dead Like You, really good so far.

Bought a book at the weekend. Didn't have any intention of doing so until I found they had reduced Mum's List to half price in Morrisons so it found its way into the trolley. Nearly picked another Jodi Picoult book that was half price as well but put that back as I already have two of her books to read so thought it best to see if I like her books before buying anymore.

I've been good this weekend and have approx 15 books to take to the charity shop - i think thats the last of the physical books that i don't want to keep (i have approx 100 more which i can't (don't want to) get rid of). However i have 700 on my kindle to read and i'm at a loss as to what to read next!

i should probably finished the books i'm in the middle of before starting anything else!
Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos

I'm quite happy not to buy any more tree books until I have read the many hundreds of books that I own but what about the kindle deal of the day? I love checking this out particularly as it is a good way to try a new author or get a much sought after book at a bargain price.

I am thinking of cutting back on all unnecessary spending - should I include the kindle deal of the day in this? I will stop buying kindle books that retail at £4.99 odd - and I have been naughty buying books at this price but who can resist a book at 99p?

Finally finished The Duchess, and was quite happy to list it on amazon and greenmet as it was interesting but hard work and I'll never reread it!

Trying to decide what to tree book to start on next.

Just read 'the Sea' by John Banville, one of the list of 1001. I could see why it was in the list, very deep and meaningful, but not really for me. I'm now onto Phillipa Gregory's 'The Women of the Cousins' War', a history about the three women she wrote about in her recent novels. So far, so good, I'm enjoying it, I like her writing style and it's interesting to read the facts behind the novels.

Ps I didn't know about the Kindle deals, I wonder if they work on the tablet app, must try that out, another source of cheap ish reading :)

Update: Yes that works, happy days!
