Really liked "One moment, one morning" - very enjoyable. I have also tried to read "Room" and oly got to about page 3 - will have another go soon though - sometimes I have to be in the mood for certain books.

I've just finished "The last family in England" a story of a family told from the dogs point of view - quite sad but very well written and an interesting perspective of life - makes you look at dogs in a different way!

Think I'm going to read "When God was a rabbit" next.

Those two books sound very interesting so I 'm going to have to look them up...........but resist buying:cool:

I FINALLY finished my book Careless by Deborah Robertson. Not sure what I thought of this book, I think the fact it hasn't taken me so long to finish says a lot but maybe its subject matter-grief-just takes more thought. Not sure about if I would recommend or not hmmmmm:think:

Yesterday OH brought me the new Dean Koontz book 77 Shadow Street. A adore Koontz and normally can't put his books down so I don't know whether I should start it or save it for the easter hols and start another one instead. I think I will start a different one as I intend to keep the Koontz book so I might as well read one out of my To read box as most of those I will be getting rid off.

  • I read 'One moment one morning' in two days last week (I was off work sick, wouldnt normally read so quickly!) It was very good, it was on offer in WHSmiths Buy one get one for £1. I tried to read 'Room' but couldnt get into it. Am also trying to get into the new Jeffrey Archer one about the War but havent managed too yet! I've also given up on Heart Shaped Box, so all in all im doing rubbish this week!

Stick with the Jeffrey Archer if it's Time Will Tell, well worth a read, just finished it. Now reading Nicci French Complicit, really good so far.

  • Thanks Charlie's mum, yes it is 'Time will tell'. I'm currently reading Call the Midwife which is very good!

I have decided to start Haunted Kelley Armstrong, another part of her supernatural series. Reading it out of order but the stories normally stand up.

I found 'Room' a really good book and read it in just over a week around work and other things...might not be everyones cup of tea...

The next book on my 'to read' list is Room. My sister read it and thought it was really good. Will let you know how I get on!

You are all making me think maybe "Room" should be the next book I read - it;s been on my shelf for ages and seems to be one to either love or hate.

I am slowly making my way through "When God was a rabbit" at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. Very well written.

Hi, subscribed to this thread ages ago,but Ive never actually posted.

Just wanted to say that I loved Room, I read it last year and couldnt put it down. Brilliant book.

When God Was A Rabbit , I have really struggled with though. I have picked it up and put it down so many times. I have recently finished a couple of good old Chick Lits, The Jewels of Manhattan and Cocktails for Three, I have now moved onto Ive Got Your Number. Nice easy read !!

I'm about half way through 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and have managed to reduce my Kindle list by over 300 with some seriously strict culling (anything I own in paperback anything which after reading reviews I didn't think I'd enjoy). Still have plenty to make a decision over cull/keep but its progress and magically the battery life has gone back to 2 weeks + from the 2 days I was getting at best!
