Haven't read the whole thread yet but wanted to join in.
I adore reading although only do it in bed (or on the loo..lol), but can still finish about 2 books a week. I read anything, my hubby bought me the Enid Blyton set of Malory Towers for Christmas as I mentioned I loved them as a child (I'm 32 now), and I adored reading them again.
At the minute I am reading 127 hours...the true story of Aron Ralston. Only started it last night and am about a quarter of the way through. I am unemployed due to some problems with my pregnancy (1st baby after 6 years of trying, so taking no chances), so have loads of night time hours to read in.
I have loads of books in the bookcase, but have read some of them which I must get packed up to pass on to my aunt...and then hopefully she will have some to pass to me...lol
I will make my list out tomorrow....now I'm off to read through some more posts and get more added on to my wishlist..lol...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

Welcome, and I remember reading both the Malory Towers and St. Clare's sets when I was younger. I liked them a lot, but the slightly strange version of interchangeable French mistresses both amused and bemused me. I wonder what Enid Blyton thought of the French? Please call me 'Pickle'

I was a huge fan of Enid Blyton as a child and read everything I could get my hands on! My granny used to send me a postal order on my birthday and I always spent it on a new Enid Blyton. ( I'm giving my age away now!) Despite all the contraversy about Enid Blyton, it was her books that hooked me into reading as a young child and gave me the love of books have had all my adult life! I was even a member of the Secret Seven Club :rotfl:
I wish you all good wishes for your pregnancy - keep well and healthy:)

Enid Blyton was also my fav author when I was a child, and even now I could pick up one of her books and lose hours...
Going to delve into the bookcases now and start this list of books to be read...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

Thanks to you lot I now have a wishlist on Amazon...
Just spent a few hours reading through this entire thread and adding the books I fancied onto my wish list, which then suggested other titles to me...so I now have 35 books on there....lol
Well, it's my birthday at the end of the month so I might ask my Mum to choose some of the 1p (plus p&p) ones for my present....doesn't count as buying them then sure it doesn't....lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

Nope, that's definitely a present, but I've started going onto my local library's website and searching for a book there instead of on Amazon, then requesting it. I get the same buzz and less of a bill! Please call me 'Pickle'
